Condolences to the Entire Braxton family, Traci Braxton, has passed away at 50 after a battle with cancel. Traci who was a member of her sister group, has detailed how They were supposed to be a female jackson 5, but the family divide started with Toni being only signed as a solo act. Evelyn their mother stated that this was gonna have an affect. Toni secured a deal for the 4 remaining girls a recording contract with Atlantic records cos of her boyfriend at the time. However, Traci became pregnant and she decided to keep the pregnancy thus the Braxtons became a trio, and Traci took it personally that nobody fought for her from her sisters stating it's pretty selfish if you ask me to tell me i can't be a member anymore. Eventually they patched everything up. Until a couple years ago. When Traci refused to side with Tamar and her sisters over pay issues with WETv, lets just say. From the narrative of that final season Traci was up front, and said she was pretty much disowned because she showed up for work and didn't see the issue. . I hope the family put the differences and hostility aside just to enjoy Traci's final years on earth.

@Rik @ohoney @Malibu.D.Luxx @Jordan Miller The launch of blackground records 2.0, guess what's coming to platforms. The original jojo albums, that jojo was unsuccessful in getting, libra by Toni Braxton and the highly sought aaliyah albums that her own uncle basically held hostage. I don't know how to feel, the estate of Aaliyah, revealed they will not be making any profits or royalties off this strategic move, so stream the new versions by jojo as I'm sure she won't be making a dime at all from this shady stunt. @boyinthemirror

In 1996 Toni Braxton released the follow up to 1993's Toni Braxton, titled Secrets. But she was also aware of the dreadful sophomore slump, she even said in an interview, artists can have an iconic debut era than fade off and disappear. So, she was aware just how important it was to follow up an iconic debut that won her best new artist at the 37th annual Grammy awards. The first album sold ten million worldwide and went 8x Platinum in the US and spawned hits like Another sad love song, breathe again and you mean the world to me.. And the main reason Laface signed her was to compete with Mariah Carey and whitney Houston. As LA said, Tommy had Mariah Carey, Clive had whitney Houston, but we realized there was no Home girl that represented the girls like Toni. Secrets became a bigger project and her most successful era despite hating her signature song, that was intended for Celine Dion, listening to Falling into you and songs like the title track and Seduces me, you can see where Un Break my heart would have fit in. But, the song is hers. And Toni's only and as pitchfork said the ultimate karaoke song. But just like TLC, she went Bankrupt, over a bad contract. That basically left her broke cos she had to repay everything back to her label, and I guess in 1999 she was awarded 20 million and a better contract, but a gag order prevented her from basically saying she wasn't broke at all. According to her memoir, toni said it was Babyface that actually put the ball her favor when he said he wouldn't have signed the contract she signed, and he admitted, as a joint venture (meaning they were a small label that was an off branch of Arista records) they're hands were tied.

Queens unite! Toni Braxton taps Missy Elliott for a remix of "Do It." It's the slinky, mid-tempo nostalgic power ballad(?) the world needed. On it, Toni and Missy sing about leaving an unhealthy, abusive relationship. It's kind of a shame the Internet didn't light up over this, but Exhale to the rescue! THESE ARE LIVING LEGENDS YALL Listen below. Do we like? Related:
