But by 2013 a shift changed and it ended their reign, thanks to a song by Lorde called Royals, which was more adult lyrically content, not explicit, but more mature, plus social media also killed record labels finding stars, now the public decides who they like, and acts like Halsey, Khalid, Troye Sivian, and even Billie Eilish, aren't afraid to tackle more mature subjects like *****, depression, ***uality, and in Billie's case, ****** as well. So with a more adult, mature and somewhat more explicit in nature, they even said imagine the hell Disney would get if Billie sang the line, "might seduce your dad type", there would be an outrage of the PG rated friendly brand. So basically, Honest said what killed Disney was a major cultural shift, but he said that doesn't mean they won't create a superstar, they just gotta go outside the family entertainment bubble. But that's a risk, but a risk worth taking is a great long shot.
