YG Entertainment issued an official statement to South Korean publication OSEN on July 22, where it announced the launch of ‘BLACKPINK X PUBG Mobile 2022 In-Game Concert: [THE VIRTUAL]’ as part of the girl group’s partnership with the mobile game, to be launched sequentially across the globe. In conjunction with the launch of BLACKPINK’s virtual PUBG concert, the K-pop quartet are slated to unveil a brand-new special single titled ‘Ready For Love’ to be performed by BLACKPINK’s in-game avatars during the concert. The group’s “mega hit parade” will also be unveiled for the first time at ‘THE VIRTUAL’. “The charming pop song has a cool drop in the chorus that breaks the static flow of its lyrical, piano instrumental,” wrote YG Entertainment in its statement, as a teaser for the new track. The concert’s first iteration will be its South Korean one, to be held across two days – July 23 and 24 from 2pm to 4pm KST and 8pm to 10pm KST respectively. They will then be made available for all-day replays the following weekend on July 30 and 31. While not an official music release, ‘Ready For Love’ will mark the K-pop group’s first music together since their last full-length effort ‘THE ALBUM’ dropped in October 2020, which featured the lead single ‘How You Like That’. However, news of the special track’s release comes shortly after YG Entertainment announced BLACKPINK’s plans to release new music in August. A sprawling global tour, touted by YG as “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group”, is also on the cards for later in 2022. At the time of announcement, the K-pop quartet were in the “final stages of recording a new album”, which would kickstart “a continuous large-scale project which will extend through the second half of the year”. Hey Exhalers, So most of you voted for Cinderella (out of the four options) on the poll I created on Sunday. This time I decided to create something more simple and elegant for the vinyl design with a messy black due to the sentence - "I don't believe in fairy tales". The whole concept is taken from the Regency era and inspired by the novel series, Bridgerton. We are getting a short film: Cinderella's Got To Go (15m less or more) as a music video of Britney playing a high society lady who has a toxic relationship with a lord. In this relationship, she felt invisible and trapped, and then she decided to take her freedom by running away. Let me know your thoughts on the design itself and the whole concept. Do you agree? Do you think differently? And also, let me know which non-single should I design next

On this sticker on the ITZ CD, it mentions the song Breathe On Me as a single after Everytime. From 2003 up until 2018 Breathe on me was given the single treatment by being given promo performances for the album and included in almost every Britney live show, possibly by Britney request as she stated on multiple occasions that it’s one of her favourite songs. In 2016, Britney would shoot and post a black and white video for the song on her Instagram.

British pop group Steps dropped the MV for their second single “Something in Your Eyes” taken from their upcoming album “What the Future Holds” this morning. The song is classic pop that will transport you back to 1998 when times were simpler and cheesy pop music was everywhere. It’s fun, it’s camp, it’s colourful and it’s just what the world needs some of right now. Watch the clip below and stream the song everywhere now and let me know what y’all think. Related:

Initially slated for release back in March but delayed due to the pandemic, British pop band Steps dropped their new single “What the Future Holds” last Monday. It’s the lead single from their upcoming sixth studio album of the same name. The music video for the track dropped on Friday and has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The song, penned by none other than Sia, topped the UK iTunes chart within an hour of its release, with the album pre-order following suit by the following day. Best known for their fan-friendly dance routines (hence the name Steps) and hits such as “Tragedy,” “One For Sorrow,” “Deeper Shade of Blue,” and the line-dancing classic “5, 6, 7, 8,” the band, who were a huge staple in European pop music back in the late 90’s and early 00’s (and even toured with Britney) made a huge comeback in 2017 for their 20th anniversary, with a sell-out UK tour and comeback album “Tears on the Dancefloor.” “What the Future Holds” has been three years in the making and is set to be a continuation of their last album, utilising their established sound and bringing it into 2020. It sees them reunite with writers such as Fiona Bevan (One Direction, Lewis Capaldi), Ina Wroldsen (Shakira, Britney Spears) and Karl Twigg (who worked on their first three albums) plus experiment with songs written by the likes of Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beyonce), Hannah Robinson (Kylie) and new pop shape-shifters such as Gracey and MNEK. The album drops November 27th and you can pre-order it here via their official store. There are various bundles across a variety of formats including signed CDs, pink vinyl and cassette tape (how very 90's). Watch the video for “What the Future Holds” below and stream on Spotify! I've also posted "The Best of Steps" playlist for anyone who maybe isn't familiar with their back catalogue of bops.

A$AP Ferg's Nicki Minaj collab "Move Ya Hips" is out now. I personally don't like the video. They'd tried to do something similar to 'dua's physical work out video' but for me it's a no Nicki's part is lit tho I love it Soon after it was released, the song topped the US iTunes top songs chart. What do you think, Exhale? Listen below:
