  1. RuPaul’s Drag Race first graced televisions in 2009 with its inaugural season, and since then, it’s ballooned into a cultural juggernaut that spans continents. Along with the show’s success has been the emergence of songs both from the show and out of the contestants that have competed on the show. Given this, what are your favorite songs from the show? Or, what’s your favorite song from a contestant? Better yet, do you have a favorite lip sync performance? Here are mine: Current reigning fave: I’m That ***** from Season 12 All Time Favorite: Read U, Wrote U from All Stars 2 Favorite Lipsync: Physical by Trinity K. Bonet and Laganja Estranja (still not over this ) Discuss, huntys.
  2. They’re all winners, baby. In a watershed moment in “Drag Race” herstory, all eight returning queens on Season 7 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” have won previous seasons of “Drag Race” or “All Stars.” The cast includes “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winners that stretch from 2011 through 2020, one international queen and three queens who’ve won seasons of “All Stars.” Together, they will compete for a $200,000 cash prize and the title of “Queen of All Queens.” “All Stars” Season 7 will debut with two episodes on Paramount+ on May 20, and Paramount+ and producers World of Wonder are rolling out a lengthy red carpet to build up to the premiere. The eight “All Stars” contestants, in order of when they won their respective seasons, are: Raja (“Drag Race” Season 3): The only Asian American winner of “Drag Race” in the U.S., Raja won three challenges in her season on the strength of her runway looks and singing. She’s also worked as a makeup artist, including on “America’s Next Top Model” in the 2000s and with Adam Lambert, Pamela Anderson, Twiggy and Iman. Jinkx Monsoon (“Drag Race” Season 5): First and foremost a comedy queen, Jinkx won two challenges in her season and was among the top queens of the week in almost every episode. She often performs in a comedy cabaret act with “Drag Race” Season 6 and “All Stars” Season 3 queen BenDeLaCreme. Monét X Change (“All-Stars” Season 4): Originally a contestant on Season 10 of “Drag Race” (where she placed sixth), Monét is known best for her quick wit and charismatic performances. After winning three challenges on “All Stars” (and won the final lip-sync in one of them), Monét is the first queen ever on “Drag Race” and “All Stars” to tie for the crown, with Trinity the Tuck. She also returned as a lip-sync assassin on Season 5 of “All Stars” and won her face-off against contestant Jujubee. Trinity the Tuck (“All-Stars” Season 4): Trinity has won a whopping seven “Drag Race” challenges: three on Season 9 of “Drag Race,” where she tied for third with Shea Couleé, and four on Season 4 of “All Stars” (she won the final lip-sync for two of those challenges). She tied for the win on “All Stars” with Monét X Change. Yvie Oddly (“Drag Race” Season 11): Uncommonly flexible and sartorially inventive, Yvie was the first queen to win the crown her season after winning only one episode challenge. She returned as a lip-sync assassin on Season 5 of “All Stars” and won in her face-off against contestant India Ferrah. The Vivienne (“Drag Race UK” Season 1): As the inaugural winner of the first season of “Drag Race” in the U.K., the Vivienne won three challenges her season, for her runway looks, her imitation of Donald Trump, and her acting and marketing chops. Four years earlier, she was also named the “U.K. Ambassador” for “Drag Race.” Jaida Essence Hall (“Drag Race” Season 12): The most recent winner of a regular season of “Drag Race” on this season of “All Stars,” Jaida enters the work room with three main challenge wins: for performance, her comedy chops, and her makeover skills. She was a lip-sync assassin on Season 6 of “All Stars,” where she tied with contestant Eureka! (“All Stars” Season 5): Shea has also amassed a bounty of challenge wins: four on Season 9 of “Drag Race” (where she tied for third with Trinity), and two on Season 5 of “All Stars” (for which she won both final lip syncs). She’s won comedy challenges, performance challenges, runway challenges and Snatch Game challenges. Shea Couleé (“All Stars” Season 5): Shea has also amassed a bounty of challenge wins: four on Season 9 of “Drag Race” (where she tied for third with Trinity), and two on Season 5 of “All Stars” (for which she won both final lip syncs). She’s won comedy challenges, performance challenges, runway challenges and Snatch Game challenges. Credit: Variety Who Are You Rooting For?
  3. I love me some RuPaul song's and Catwalk is really nice and it's perfect as a runway theme I kinda prefer the Reprise version idk
  4. This was HERSTORY! All Stars Season 6 - Game within a Game, Silky slayed the lipsyncs and proved herself. I would give her a crown just for the performances she gave in this episode. 6 consequent lipsync wins!!!! She even competed against herself, does it get any better than that? 😂😂😍😍 You can see at 1:55 Rupaul giggling like a little girl enjoying herself like we've never seen before. I felt the same way. This was epic! Also check this: https://www.gaytimes.co.uk/culture/heres-how-silky-nutmeg-ganache-just-made-herstory-for-drag-race/
  5. So my friends sent me this TikTok video, which is ah-mazing: Cersei Lannister v/s Daenerys Targaryen in a lip-sync for their life on Stronger by Kelly Clarkson.. I think that Cersei totally slayed that with her green explosion But if you had a chance to put two celebrities or fictional characters to battle in front of Rupaul, who would it be and on what song?
  6. How is everyone doing during this crazy Quarantine life we have been living? I have been pretty good today, but some days I have had incredibly bad anxiety. Cold sweats, being simultaneously too hot and too cold. My mind would run wild and sabotage my sleep. I’ve never wanted to consider medication out of fear of addiction, which is something I have battled in the past. It got so bad though that I was about to check myself in somewhere. The only thing I found solace in was THC/CBD Tincture. It’s not to get high off of, but without it I literally start shaking because my nerves are basically shot. And the scary thing is, absolutely nothing is “wrong”, I’m safe, I have a place to live, some money saved in the bank, bills paid, food, entertainment (Netflix, Hulu etc), but I would literally start going crazy almost daily for about a month until very recently when I started taking Tincture. People say it’s the planets moving into retrograde. People say it’s because I’m a ♋️ cancer and I’m highly emotional. Some say it’s coming into my “powers” of being an empath, especially with everything going on in the world it’s like.... overload. I just wanted to check in with you all, I hope nobody is feeling how I can get to feeling lately, but if you are I hope you find SOME kind of comfort from knowing you aren’t alone. ❤️ I have been watching Haters back Off with Miranda Sings on Netflix. Absolutely ridiculous, but ridiculously funny. It definitely helped pull me out of a funk if you need something light and funny to watch. The opening scenes should be enough to put a smile on your face. I’ve started to crochet again, something simple to quickly occupy my mind. Headphones really help a lot! They fill your head with sound, which can drown out a lot of the negativity your brain might be trying to throw at you, a couple of my favorite podcasts are What’s The T with Rupaul and Michelle Visage. Over 200 episodes, great witty banter, great guests, great advice. Another is Boulet Brothers Creatures of the Night, Drag, Filth, Horror, Glamour.... the fabulous Swanthula and Dracmorda Boulet bring true horror stories from our history, movie reviews and fun guests, it’s a new one, so there are only a few episodes so far, but its something you can keep up with from the start! What are you doing to stay sane? Any advice for me? Do you need any advice? Let’s all work on being more kind to one another, that’s something the world is lacking.
  7. RuPaul has been known as the “Queen of drag” ever since, circa: the 90s He/she had come out as a drag queen in very controversial and conservative times (especially in the early 90s) and had managed to open a huge gate for other people who take Drag as a career however, have anyone of you known that he also makes music? I will show three songs from him: (Honestly my most favorite song from him) (It honestly sounds so EDM generic) So what do you guys think? I have just showed only two songs but feel free to explore rupauls music more!
  8. Did anybody else catch the first episode of Canada’s Drag Race tonight? If you are in an area with BBC 3 you can see it on Thursday nights. If you live in the U.S. you can watch it on the Wow Presents Plus app. Yes, it’s another subscription service, but it’s one I recommend if you are a fan of drag race. Lots of original content featuring many of the queens from the show. You can also watch Drag Race UK here. And it’s probably the cheapest subscription service you can get, like $3.99/month. If you did watch the show, what do you think? I think it was a cute Idea to have a different Panel, I kinda missed Ru, but Brooklyn did a good job. Overall I was not disappointed and the lip sync was really good for being the first episode.
  9. Rupaul Drag Race s12 finale is happening just now.. are there some exhale stands? I am team Jaida, she is gorgeous and elegant ... Gigi as well... Crystal Method hmm dont know she has some very original looks though Since I am not in the US, I need to wait for the show to be over so I can see on a digital platform, but would like to know who is your favorite?
  10. Actor Jeff Goldblum appeared as one of the guest judges on RuPaul's Drag Race. He's embroiled in controversy for asking if Islam was "anti-homosexuality" and "anti-woman" during Friday night’s episode of the show. "Is there something in this religion that is anti-homosexuality and anti-woman? Does that complicate the issue? I'm just raising it and thinking out loud and maybe being stupid," he said. It happened during a segment where one of the contestants, Jackie Cox (whose non-drag name is Darius Rose), wore a red-striped caftan with a midnight blue hijab outlined with 50 silver stars. Goldblum was criticized because Islam is not alone in being a religion that that has historically discriminated against women and the LGBTQ community. While tearful on the runway, Cox shared that "it’s a complex issue" and she has her "own misgivings about the way LGBT people are treated in the Middle East." "At the same time, I am one," Cox continued. "What is so important to me is that if you just happen to be different, then live that truth." While cultural norms and traditional readings of Islamic sacred text can promote a heteronormative binary of gender identification and ****** orientation, according to a recent survey by Public Religion Research Institute, more than half (52 percent) of American Muslims agreed that "society should approve of homosexuality." There is definitely a conversation to be had here. Exhale, what do you think about this?
