  1. Apparently this was the original Body suit Ariana Grande was supposed to wear in the Rain On Me video. Hit or miss?
  2. BURNS did an AMA on the r/electronicmusic subreddit yesterday, and a lot of the questions that were asked were about Chromatica. Here are some of the questions? QUESTION: Could I ask about what working on LG6/chromatica was like in terms of designing the themes and sound? Did you have any specific ideas and inspirations going in or were you following LG’s plan for the world you were creating sonically? QUESTION: For those who are unfamiliar with your work- If you had to pick 3 songs by yourself as a way to introduce yourself, which 3 would you pick? Is there a song that you've made over the course of your career that you're most proud of? QUESTION: Loved your work on Chromatica last year. How was it like the making of the album? Were there many changes from the initial ideas until the final product, like was it a completely different genre or style? How was it like to work with Lady Gaga? Did you also work in Chromatica tracks that didn't make the cut? QUESTION: What production of yours are you most proud of? QUESTION: I wanted to ask how you came up with the idea of sampling Diana Ross' "It's My House" on Replay. Was it something that was present since you first began working on the song or was it added later in the mix? BURNS also talked about the making of Make Me... with Britney. QUESTION: Hi Burns, loved your production with the pop girlies. I would love to hear your process with working on Make Me with Britney.
  3. Japanese comedian and Lady Gaga stan, Naomi Watanabe, created the BEST "Rain On Me" parody. Watanabe portrays Gaga, and fellow comedian, Yuriyan Retriever, embodies Ariana Grande. It's incredibly well done. The title says it's a "parody", but except for a few seconds of humor, I don't see much exaggeration... It's a pretty well done copy of the original video! The special effects omg... Either Gaga's was cheap, or these people put A LOT of money into this... (I LOVE the original, though!):
  4. Continuing with my 80s theme, I bring you a PWL style remix of Rain On Me that's like Never Gonna Give You Up meets I Wanna Dance With Somebody. Something like that. Hope you enjoy! And they're back with an encore performance!
  5. As previously reported, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's "Rain on Me" rolls in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart (dated June 6). The duet debuts as Gaga's fifth Hot 100 leader and Grande's fourth. Notably, Grande becomes the first artist with four No. 1 Hot 100 debuts, as all four of her chart-topping songs have arrived in the top spot. She passes Justin Bieber (with whom she shares her prior leader, "Stuck With U"), Mariah Carey and Drake, each with three No. 1 bows. Here is a recap of Grande's four No. 1 Hot 100 debuts, encompassing all of her leading titles. Ariana Grande Title, Debut Date, Weeks at No. 1 "Thank U Next," Nov. 17, 2018, seven "7 Rings," Feb. 2, 2019, eight "Stuck With U," with Justin Bieber, May 23, 2020, one "Rain on Me," with Lady Gaga, June 6, 2020, one (to date) And, here is a rundown of Bieber, Carey and Drake's three No. 1 Hot 100 debuts each. Carey is so far the only artist with three No. 1-starting songs that have each gone on to spend multiple weeks on top. Meanwhile, Drake is the only act with three such hits all on his own and no accompanying artists. Justin Bieber Title, Debut Date, Weeks at No. 1 "What Do You Mean?," Sept. 19, 2015, one "I'm the One," DJ Khaled feat. Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper & Lil Wayne, May 20, 2017, one "Stuck With U," with Ariana Grande, May 23, 2020, one Mariah Carey Title, Debut Date, Weeks at No. 1 "Fantasy," Sept. 30, 1995, eight "One Sweet Day," with Boyz II Men, Dec. 2, 1995, 16 "Honey," Sept. 13, 1997, three Drake Title, Debut Date, Weeks at No. 1 "God's Plan," Feb. 3, 2018, 11 "Nice for What," April 21, 2018, eight "Toosie Slide," April 18, 2020, one Source Related:
  6. Hi all! Apologies if I'm not posting this in the right forum but I thought this site would be a good place to show off my latest remix. Feel free to like/subscribe/comment/all of the above. Been a while since I put out music (I used to almost exclusively do Britney Spears Remixes, some of which are on my YouTube). Here's my "Rain On Me" remix. Hope you all enjoy
  7. I've got some exciting news about the Chromatica era and would love to know how you feel about them... "The Cure" and a solo version of "Shallow" with an electropop production are meant to be in the tracklist of a special edition of Chromatica (as bonus tracks). So don't be pissed off. "Frankensteined" and "Babylon" made the final cut. First one was meant to be released a while ago... A collab with "Ariana Grande" is indeed coming up and some hints have already been thrown. There is another female collab in the album in a song named "Sublime". Gaga talks about mental health in one of the album's most powerful tracks. It is not a ballad, I would classify it is a midtempo. Gaga might be recording a new music video in eastern Europe soon... That's all for now.
