@Rik announced today that they were pregnant with their first child, ending months of speculation over whether the Exhale princess was launching a new career as a mother. Rik, 23, who married dancer @SlayOut last September in a surprise, private ceremony, made the announcement in a posting to fans on their official Exhale profile. ''The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. There were reports that I was in the hospital this weekend. @SlayOut and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Love Rik and SlayOut,'' the brief posting said. No further details were available.

In celebration of Mother's Day which is celebrated this weekend in most countries, let's make an appreciation thread of all the moms in music. Let's start with the Queen of Exhale, Britney Spears, who filmed the music video of Someday (I Will Undersand) while pregnant with her first son Sean Preston, in 2005. Almost 10 years later, in February 2015, Mexican band Maná released a collaboration with Shakira titled Mi Verdad. She was pregnant with her second son Sasha when filming the music video for the song, which was shot in late 2014. In 2011, we could also get a glimpse of Beyoncé while pregnant with her first daughter, the Grammy winner Blue Ivy Carter, in the music video for Countdown. Though the main focus of the thread is to show music videos or performances or photoshoots that singers have done while pregnant, feel free to congratulate all of your faves that are mothers, even if they didn't necessarily show it in a video or so, just by sharing pictures of them while pregnant or with their children.
