  1. Per TVLine: Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story, and she has a lot to say. Netflix on Wednesday announced a new documentary, already in production for several years, which will find “the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey.” The announcement was made on social media, accompanied by this note from Anderson. “My life: A thousand imperfections, a million misperceptions,” she writes. “Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to — I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story.” This documentary comes on the heels of Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, a limited series about Anderson and then-husband Tommy Lee’s stolen s** tape which made headlines in 1995. Anderson is not involved with that project, which stars Lily James and Sebastian Stan as the couple in question, and she is reportedly not thrilled about such a horrific chapter of her life being shamelessly exploited for entertainment. Anderson’s personal story and struggles were also recently touched on by the TNT documentary Rich & Shameless: The Crime Against Pam & Tommy. See Anderson’s message below: Now Exhalers, should Britney tell her story by the lens of a documentary instead of a high profile interview (Oprah, Piers)?
  2. Experts say it's important that these high-profile women are finally taking back their narratives, because doing so can be a crucial step in healing from trauma.
  3. Per Entertainment Weekly: Pamela Anderson has a new adventure on the horizon: the Great White Way. The former Baywatch star will make her Broadway debut in Chicago this spring, playing the role of Roxie Hart from April 12 through June 5. "From Baywatch to Broadway. I am inspired by the unexpected," Anderson said in a statement according to the AP. "This is it, and I will not hold back anymore. I am letting go. I am ready to see what I'm capable of. For Chicago, I'll be putting all my cards on the table. I am doubling down — on me." One of Broadway's longest-running shows, the musical focuses on the story of 1920s housewife and dancer Roxie Hart who ******* her lover and attempts to avoid going to jail by hiring a slick criminal lawyer. Anderson is far from the first high-profile celebrity to play Roxie Hart in the show, which first opened on Broadway in 1975 starring Gwen Verdon and later Liza Minnelli. The show was revived in 1996 with Ann Reinking in the role. Since then, Roxie's shoes have been filled by stars such as Mel B, Christie Brinkley, Robin Givens, Melanie Griffith, Marilu Henner, Brandy Norwood, Lisa Rinna, Brooke Shields, Ashlee Simpson, Michelle Williams, and Rumer Willis. Renée Zellweger played the part in the 2002 movie, which won the Best Picture Oscar. "Pam is a very moral person, extremely moral. She cares about animals. She cares about the planet. She cares about people," producer Barry Weissler added. "The difference between her as Pam and Roxie is Roxie doesn't care about anyone but herself, and she doesn't give a damn about the outside world as long as she can be famous. So Pam comes with totally opposite attributes in life, but she fits because of her celebrity, what she's gone through in life." Anderson is currently being depicted in Hulu's Pam & Tommy by actress Lily James, but has no involvement in the show and plans to "never, never watch" it, a source close to Anderson told EW.However, she recently announced a new authorized Netflix documentary about her life, revealing the news in a tweet that read "My life, a thousand imperfections, a million misperceptions, wicked, wild and lost, nothing to live up to, I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor and alive to tell the real story."
  4. As one guy puts it Tommy actually looked like the hero, But what people failed to see or care about was How this forever haunted Pamela and would forever change her image and career cos she's now casted in just roles based off of this s** pot image, and the shaming of her is still to this day, she's the true victim cos it changed how people see her and the media drove the way people think of her.. She will never get the apology that society owes her.
  5. "It's unfair that she is being re-subjected to this trauma, like re-opening a wound," a source tells PEOPLE I love Lily James, and she did a phenomenal job with acting in this show. But it seems Pamela and Tommy, who are both still alive, are not even involved with this show. And just like their stolen s** tape which they made $0 from, they're also not making any money from this show as well. Similar to what Britney has said about the documentaries she had zero involvement in, the source says Pamela is traumatized by this show as it's "re-opening old wounds" which she closed. While the show tries to bring justice to their story, it's hypocritical by doing the exact same thing by exploiting them and making money off of it. Last year, Pamela announced she's leaving social media to live in peace and not the let industry control her. Her last post was a blurry screenshot of an old pic with a deep caption mentioning "I am free" and wishing everyone try not to be seduced by wasting time on social media, as these companies are making money while controlling your attention span. She's been living a quiet life free from the drama and industry. But now this show is bringing her back into the spotlight without her blessing or go ahead. Courtney Love (who's also shown support for #FreeBritney who faced similar media exploitation) "I find this so f—ing outrageous," Love wrote in her post. "When Pam / Tommy s** tape was out / myself @pattyschemel @xmadmx were making a record. And the lone women in many recording studios in LA. Where all / ALL! The staff engineers / producers / owners / were watching the s** tape with huge schadenfraude.. Guffaws, It was disgusting. I banned anyone discussing it.. It destroyed my friend Pamelas life. Utterly." Pam & Tommy Is 'Re-Exploiting' Pamela Anderson, Says Source | PEOPLE.com On a side note, I noticed Lily James who plays Pamela and who also gets anxiety when doing 1-to-1 interviews has very similar anxious movements like Britney (foot shaking, hand grasping/fiddling, hair flipping, extra blinking). It's pretty interesting, but shows these are common coping mechanisms when doing something you're anxious/nervous about and not some Britney-only weird thing. Even I sometimes do these kind of things but moreso when presenting in front of large groups than small. Lily looks gorgeous btw.
