  1. Damn, i would hate to be those girks when they go back to school after their anti vaxxer dad did the ultimate chad move. Hey sorry, your dad is a chad, have to end our friendship. I would be Emma after what he did on tik tok.
  2. Without an album, BTS top IFPI best selling artist list yet again in 2022. Taylor Swift is 2nd with 4 album sales and streams while Adele is 3rd with her year end album '30'
  3. A behind the scenes look at how Olivia’s hit debut record SOUR was made streams March 25! Will you be tuning in?
  4. If you thought Olivia Rodrgio's hit "Good 4 U" sounded like Paramore's 2007 song "Misery Business," you weren't alone. Hayley Williams of Paramore and her ex-bandmate, Josh Farro, received a credited on Olivia's No. 1 song and will earn 50% of the song's publishing. For months, TikTokers made mashups comparisons between the two tracks. Thoughts, Exhale?!
  5. Olivia Rodrigo says Lady Gaga is the best performer of our generation. “I love Lady Gaga. I think she’s like, the best performer of our generation. Just like, watching her on the piano is just incredible and so magical.” Y'all know I'm a Britney and Gaga stan so feeling all sorts of ways about this. No denying Gaga is legend status though
  6. So @Blackout2006 looks like your generation is about to take over the Billboard and the Music industry.. Out with the millenials, where the oldest millenials are actually turning 40 this year including Breatheheavy's very own queen Herself Britney spears (December 2, is when she turns the big 40). To the youngest millenials are turning 26. Generation Z is 1996-2010. And the top 3 teen acts (all 3 are teens) #1 Happier than Ever Billie Eilish at 19, she's the oldest, she turns 20 herself in December.. #2 **** Love by The Kid Laroi, never in my lifetime (37 by the way), teens couldn't make albums with explicit content and the fact he isn't 20 something (How Rihanna was when her first Explicit album dropped in 2009, same with Miley who was 20 when Bangerz dropped in 2013), let alone 18, if this was the 00s, there would be controversy, progress folks, teens cuss and it's accepted now, just like teens hooking up, which both were something US millennials were taught are extremely wrong for anybody that isn't 20. The kid laroi is 17, born in 2004. #3 Olivia Rodrigo (Taylor's first musical artist of approval ever at 18) is already experiencing massive success, just like Taylor swift, writes about her first heart break, with Joshua Bassett, who is not only her ex, but her co star on Disney+'s High school musical: The series, imagine going to work every day with the girl who wrote Brutal, good 4 u, and a few other scathing tracks that perhaps can make people afraid to date you, ouch!!! @Jordan Miller
  7. The 2021 Mid year report is upon us. Disclaimer It's well noted Morgan wallen with over 3 Million units sold actually will be Billboard's top album of the year when the top of 2021 is revealed in December. Top digital single is Drivers license with a triple platinum certification Top albums by certification is Justice by Justin bieber and Sour by Olivia Rodrigo as both are certified by RIAA as Platinum (But MRC Data actually states it's Morgan wallen, but due to being dropped by his label, the label hasn't sent his Music to be audited by the RIAA, which is a separate organization from the MRC data, both cancel each other out). Top latin album is Karol G (RIAA has separate sales thresholds for latin music, it doesn't require a latin track or album to sell the same amount as an English track, the numbers are extremely less, but can change given latin Music's extremely popular in the US, it's noted it makes people dance, and unlike mainstream pop it rarely goes political and causes a divide which is a common theme in English pop Music in the US) However thanks to the controversial Music video, the satan shoes, etc..Montero (call me by your name) can and probably will actually dethrone Drivers license by Olivia Rodrigo as the top single, given how Olivia's first non Disney single was released way back in January of this year, so Lil Nas X might deliver the night blow to Olivia Rodrigo and might top the triple platinum single of Olivia.. Does any of the music The RIAA certified for 2021 in music reflect your personal taste, I have noticed once again, hits are rarely made, and probably due to the pandemic people prefer the Music of the past cos it's a comfort thing as @Jordan Miller once put it.
  8. Has Olivia taken Billie's fans, or will Billie's fans go down with her now that she is "flopping?"
  9. MAJOR POP ACCOUNCEMENT!!!!!~ The final numbers are out! The debut album by MPG has debuted at #1 selling 286k units! These are the biggest first week sales for a debut album since When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? by Billie Eilish! A day for pop and pop culture New numbers have been announced! The album is now projected to of course debut at #1 with 235-255k units sold in its first week! Surprised? UPDATE: The actual figures are 295k, making Sour the biggest album debut! Olivia Rodrigo has actually proven to be a good seller when it comes to albums! Hits Daily Double just released a report predicting the debut record to top the charts with sales of 195k-220k, in which 60k-70k are pure sales alone! - HDD These are massive numbers considering the music climate right now! I am genuinely surprised she actually outdid our earlier predictions I did not even imagine her crossing over 200k! This also can possibly give Olivia the fourth biggest first week sales of this year! Earlier: Hellooo everyone! So exhales favorite pop star "Olivia Rodrigo" has dropped her debut album "Sour" which is making waves throughout the internet! It won't be long enough till Billboard announces its first week sales and position! So how much do you guys think the album will sell? Olivia burst onto the pop scene with her chart topper "Drivers License" which introduced the world to her. She followed up DL with a "lesser-successful" song, Deja Vu which unfortunately () failed to match up to its expectations. However, she redeemed her success with her new smash pop rock hit "Good 4 U" which is predicted to go #1 in the second week She has also proved (so far ) that she isn't a single artist, with her new album going #1 in not only the US Itunes charts but over 50 charts around the globe! So considering and taking alll this success to note, how much do you think Olivia will sell? Obstacles for her can possibly be- That she has power as a singles artist only, and that her albums in this streaming age won't really make the same effects her songs did. Considering we live in the streaming age, we can easily name over 10 artist who are only good in selling quick hit singles and not albums. Can Dua possibly become one of them? Since it is her debut era, there is a lot of pressure on whether she will become a one-hit wonder or manage to break that with her new album. Will her demographic be willing to buy her album? Considering she is targeting a demographic who prefer listening to songs than whole albums, would her interest and popularity be enough to convince her demographic to buy her album digitally or physically? These are her possible obstacles. In my opinion: In best care scenario, she debuts with 150-170k SPS units in the US with a #1 and internationally sells around 200k-300k units In worst case scenario, she debuts with 50-70k SPS units in the US with a #1 and internationally sells around 80k-100k So what are your predictions? Lemme know Related:
  10. Olivia Rodrigo cements her position as the year’s biggest breakthrough artist as she scores the Official Chart Double - her debut album Sour and latest single Good 4 U both land at Number 1. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Sour celebrates a number of achievements in its opening week: Sour surpasses Foo Fighters to earn the biggest opening week for an album so far this year, racking up 51,000 chart sales. It’s also the biggest opening week for a debut album in two years, since Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent in May 2019. At 18 years and 3 months old, Olivia becomes the youngest solo artist in UK chart history to achieve the Official Chart Double - view the full list here. Olivia is the first artist in six years to claim the Official Chart Double with their debut album, since Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour (album) and Lay Me Down (single) in 2015. Sour sets a new all-time Official Chart UK streaming record, with the most week 1 streams for a debut album, overtaking title holder Lewis Capaldi. Sour notches up a staggering 45.7 million track streams over the past seven days (30,945 streaming-equivalent sales). Source: The OCC
  11. Olivia Rodrigo is making sure to keep her music career 'separate' from her life as a Disney star. The "Drivers License" singer, opened up about her path during a Q&A for Nylon, telling the magazine how she is trying to break from the child star stereotypes. 'I'm very aware of that classic "Disney pop girl" archetype,' she said when asked about how stars like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez's music became 'tethered' to the family friendly entertainment juggernaut. 'My music is definitely separate from my acting in a way I always dreamed would happen,' Olivia went on. She's been grateful for how many new fans she's earned since the song's release back in January, saying: "When "Drivers License" came out, everyone was like, "I have no idea who this Olivia Rodrigo girl is, but I love this song. That is the absolute dream for me, because I've always wanted to be taken seriously as a songwriter. Being an actor can interfere with that, just because being an actor is based on telling lies, and being a songwriter is based on telling the absolute, whole truth," she explained. But Olivia, who rose to fame on the Disney+ favorite High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, said she isn't trying to reject her roots, only be true to herself. '...People always ask me, "Oh, did you say f/**k in Drivers License to show that you aren't just a Disney star?" It's cool that people might think that, but I'm just making music that I love and that I feel passionate about,' she continued. 'It's who I am. I have a dirty mouth. It was what felt natural and good to me, and people resonated with that. And Rodrigo said that while she's proud to be influencing artists to be independent, it was never her main goal. 'If I am ushering in a new generation of pop stars that aren't afraid to speak their mind, that's so cool. I'm just doing my thing, though.'
  12. Olivia's new pop-rock single "good 4 u" is out now! It honestly sounds soo good! And like the lead of a soundtrack for a teen movie in the early 2000s BONUS: Trailer on her upcoming debut record "SOUR"!~ Thoughts exhale? Lemme know
  13. Hello everyone Olive Oildrigou is at it again, proving possibly that she might not end up as a one hit wonder as critics and the GP predicted her to be. Her new single from her upcoming debut studio "Sour", has blown into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at a staggering #8. If hype for the song continues, it could possibly it become a Top 3 hit single. Here is the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 For This Week: Billboard Hot 100 #1 Leave The Door Open (+1) #2 MONTERO (-1) #3 Peaches (-1) #4 Up (=) #5 drivers licence (=) #6 Save Your Tears (=) #7 Levitating (=) #8 Deja Vu (NEW) #9 Blinding Lights (-1) #10 Astronaut The Ocean (+2) What do you guys think? Slayed? Shooketh? Triggered? Long Live Olive Oildrigou? Pressed? Lemme know
  14. Hey Exhale, have any of you heard this up and coming artist named Olivia Rodrigo? She has a new song out titled "Drivers License." The song is #1 on the iTunes chart and even caught the attention of Taylor Swift (Olivia is a Swifty). It also broke the record thus far in 2021 for most-streams in a day.
