  1. "KP worked on the track with Congolese-Canadian singer Lu Kala. As she winds down her American Idol run Katy Perry is gearing up for her next pop era. And to hear tell it, the best is yet to come. Earlier this week while doing Idol promo, Perry snuck in a tantalizing tease about her upcoming single, which, low key, she think is among her greatest work to date. Perry said the unnamed track — whose release date has not yet been revealed — is “one of my biggest songs that has yet to come out.” The track was co-written by 28-year-old Canadian-Congolese singer Lu Kala, best known stateside for her feature on Latto’s 2023 song “Lottery.” “But it’s coming out,” Perry, 39, says excitedly, counseling Kala, “don’t say anything!” as she covers her mouth in mock horror. Kala, of course, could hardly contain her excitement, sharing a roll of pics with Perry from her visit on Tuesday (April 23) with the caption, “To know me is to know that I’ve been a Katy fan FOREVER!! You can’t spell Pop without @katyperry and as a Pop gurlll, this means the WORLD TO ME!!!!🥹💕 brb, still crying.” The pics include Kala standing arm-in-arm with Perry, as well as a slide with the caption featuring Perry’s tease. “I was not expecting any of this, wow😭 Thank you @katyperry for letting me be the tiniest part of what you have coming. I can’t wait for the world to hear it🥹💕,” Kala captioned the video post. Kala, who was named a Vevo #DSCVR Artist to Watch for 2024 just released her aching new ballad “Nothing But Love.” On the same night, Perry further pulled back the curtain on the long-awaited follow-up to her 2020 album Smile, telling Access Hollywood that her as-yet-untitled LP is one of her happiest to date. “I just have yet to make a record from a place of feeling really happy and whole and full of love,” she said. “Sometimes artists are like, ‘Oh, that’s boring, you want to make music from kind of like a tougher place,’ but actually it’s very bright and joyful, like pure joy and fun and playful and celebratory and a party.” Check out Kala’s post below." source Katy Perry Teases Upcoming Single, Which She Predicts Will Be One of Her ‘Biggest Songs’ Ever WWW.BILLBOARD.COM Katy Perry teased that her as-yet-untitled single -- co-written with Canadian singer Lu Kala -- will be one of her 'biggest songs' ever.
  2. Hello Britney fans! I used to frequent this forum years ago but lost my old credentials, so here I am. I've always been a huge Britney fan, so when I stumbled upon this news at work, I thought I'd share it with all of you. I work in the marketing department for a streaming platform in Warsaw (it's neither Spotify nor Apple Music, just to clarify). A couple of months ago, among the upcoming releases from Sony (which distributes RCA releases here in Poland), I spotted something from Britney Spears titled "Britney 25: The Silver Collection". We didn't receive any more info about it, indicating it's not a major release. I meant to share this with you months ago but forgot, until today when we received an updated list including a title "Britney 25 - One More Time, The Silver Collection". They've slightly changed the title, and the release is scheduled for June. We haven't received any assets yet and usually we get dedicated emails and even meetings from labels for major releases, so I guess this will be a collection for fans or something along those lines. Not sure if you guys are already aware of it, and if you are, sorry for not checking. If not, I hope it excites you. I'll keep you posted should I get more info!
  3. A rep for Yeezy tells TMZ: Ye's been kicking around the idea of launching his own ****ography studio and brand for a while -- and now, we're told he seems dead set on doing it ... 'cause he and his partners are in advanced talks to actually get something up and running. Kanye and co. have been talking about building an entire Yeezy **** studio -- which would be part of a broader adult entertainment division at the parent Yeezy company. In order to get it going, the rep tells us Kanye has been talking to Stormy Daniels' ex-husband Mike Moz -- a vet in the **** biz -- to help shepherd the whole thing as the head of the new Yeezy wing. In terms of when this might come to fruition ... it could launch as early as this summer. https://t.co/8gfW3twBmU

  6. Christina stays booked and busy! Last night, she took the stage as a headliner at Mexico's largest festival, Feria San Marcos. While looking absolutely gorgeous, she performed some of her biggest hits, but the crowd went especially wild for “Pero me acuerdo de ti” and “Falsas esperanzas”.
  7. Two decades ago, LaChapelle was the epitome of metropolitan glam... LaChapelle doesn’t regularly photograph celebrities anymore... He thinks back to many of the stars he photographed 20 years ago. “Britney and Paris were trailblazers – we don’t have people like that in the zeitgeist anymore. There was nobody like those women. There wasn’t a Lil’ Kim before Lil’ Kim. There wasn’t a Paris Hilton before Paris Hilton. There weren’t people in the world in such a way before.” Source: https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/david-lachapelle-interview-britney-dirrty-video-b1724929.html
  8. The Britney song that best fits my love life right now would have to be ‘Chaotic.’ I’m in a very complicated situationship with a married man. Deep down, I just know it’s chaotic, but every time he messages me, I’m drawn to him. Literally, it’s not going anywhere, but I’m romanticizing the hell out of it.
  9. Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Media has optioned Sarah Ditum’s book “Toxic: Women, Fame, and the Tabloid 2000s,” which examines pop-culture misogyny in the early 2000s through the stories of nine female celebrities of the era — including Hilton herself. The company plans to adapt the book as a docuseries. “Toxic” offers a deep dive into the stories of Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Kim Kardashian, Chyna and Jennifer Aniston. The book explores their battles with fame, their efforts to control their own narratives, and their various degrees of success and failure in doing so. Ditum portrays her subjects as nuanced individuals confronting the challenges of celebrity amid a “ruthless and rapidly evolving media environment” and “how their experiences influenced broader perceptions of identity, body image, relationships and ambitions that still resonate today,” per 11:11 Media’s announcement. “When I discovered ‘Toxic,’ I was immediately taken by the depth of Sarah’s dedication, research and writing,” Hilton said. “Sarah’s work inspired me to envision ‘Toxic’ as a documentary series where we can provide a platform for similar stories of those who had to navigate intense public scrutiny, so they can reclaim their narrative from a time when they had little control.” Ditum will work with 11:11 Media on the adaptation using the research she gathered to write the book. “’Toxic’ was always intended to put the women I write about back at the heart of their own stories,” Ditum said. “Working with Paris and her team on bringing this book to TV feels like a kind of homecoming for the project, and I’m incredibly excited for what they’ll bring to the next stage of ‘Toxic.’” Ditum’s deal was negotiated by Emily Hayward Whitlock at The Artists Partnership working in association with Caroline Hardman at Hardman & Swainson, a London-based literary agency. 11:Media is a media and consumer lifestyle company co-founded by Hilton and Bruce Gersh in 2021. Its recent TV and film projects include the release of “Paris In Love” Season 2 on NBCUniversal’s Peacock and A24’s upcoming series adaptation of Hilton’s “Paris: The Memoir” in partnership Elle and Dakota Fanning’s Lewellen Pictures. Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Media to Adapt Sarah Ditum’s Book ‘Toxic’ About Early 2000s Women Celebs as Docuseries VARIETY.COM Paris Hilton's 11:11 Media plans to adapt Sarah Ditum’s book “Toxic: Women, Fame and the Tabloid 2000s" as a docuseries. I wonder what her friend Britney has to say about this considering her previous public reactions about similar projects? (Lindsay also keeps saying she just wants to focus on her future and for people to leave the past in the past and has no interest in revisiting that time of her life so I imagine she doesn't care/can't be too happy about it either)

  14. Today Billboard released a Ranking: „The 100 Greatest Songs of 2004“ and placed „Toxic“ at #1! 1. Britney Spears, "Toxic" The addictive love that Britney Spears describes in “Toxic” could easily translate to the habit-forming song itself. “There’s no escape, I can’t wait/ I need a hit, baby, give me it”: To hear “Toxic” once is to need to hear it again — immediately. Is it the high-pitched strings from Bloodshy & Avant? Or the venomous lyrics from the Swedish production duo alongside Cathy Dennis and Henrik Jonback? Or maybe the cheeky superspy-spoofing music video? (It’s impossible to hear this song without immediately picturing Spears in a futuristic blue flight-attendant uniform.) Whatever it is, the In the Zone earworm infected everyone within its reach, as it topped Billboard’s Pop Airplay and Dance Club Songs charts (as well as our staff’s own Best Britney Spears Songs list). It earned Spears her first, and so far only, Grammy (for best dance recording). And even Jay-Z chose it as his favorite Britney song in a random 2013 Twitter Q&A (“jamming my G”). The song’s most enduring legacy, though, might be its whiplash-inducing range of covers, from Local H’s rocker, to The Chapin Sisters’ folk version, to Mark Ronson’s ODB-featuring hip-hop spin, to, naturally, a cappella takes from both the Pitch Perfect franchise and Glee (twice). What all the above endorsements add up to is that “Toxic” has seemingly become Spears’ most universally beloved song, using her already-established superpowers (the unmistakable breathy vocals, her magnetic onscreen presence and flawless choreography) and adding an electronic pop sound that put a legend who could have been forever linked to the ’90s instead at the forefront of top 40’s new frontier. The results were anything but toxic, but they were still definitely lethal. – K.A.
  15. where is pokemon spears youtube channel????? @PokemonSpears
  16. Interesting take..... Thoughts? “My sons absolutely hated it. They felt that it was emasculating. And I agree, to a certain extent. I'm raising two boys. I want ‘em to feel powerful too [while] respecting women. I like pop culture when it attempts to empower women without robbing men of their possibility to be men, to also protect and provide. I believe in giving women all the tools and the trust that we can do it all without losing our essence, without losing our femininity. I think that men have a purpose in society and women have another purpose as well. We complement each other, and that complement should not be lost.”
