Mandy Moore has announced through her social media that the remaining 14 dates of her ongoing In Real Life Tour are gonna be cancelled: "When we booked these shows, I wasn't pregnant and although I truly thought I could power through, the way we are traveling (long hours on the bus and not getting proper rest) has caught up, taken its toll, and made it too challenging to proceed." Earlier this month, Mandy Moore announced she and her husband Taylor Goldsmith will be receiving baby #2 this fall.

Mandy Moore's seventh studio album is out now. In Real Life has been announced a few weeks ago, when the lead single of the same name dropped. She's also released the tracks Little Dreams and Four Moons to promote the new record. The album was produced by Mike Viola, with lyrics by Mandy Moore, Taylor Goldsmith, Sam Farrar, among others. In Real Life follows up Silver Landings, released in 2020 after almost a decade of her music hiatus.

Mandy Moore has a present for fans as sweet as Christmas candy. The singer and This Is Us star dropped a two-track holiday package Thursday, featuring original song and title track "How Could This Be Christmas?" and her rendition of Christmas classic "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." Listeners can hear the songs now online, as well as pre-order an exclusive double-sided 7” single vinyl version. Moore's song choices reflect the complex nature of the holiday season in 2020 as we continue to live through the COVID-19 pandemic. There's the classic celebratory tune "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," as well as a more reflective new, original song. Moore co-wrote "How Could This Be Christmas?" with her husband Taylor Goldsmith (of musical group Dawes) and music producer Mike Viola. The new track speaks to the challenge of facing loss during the holiday season. "The holidays are certainly going to feel verifiably different this year and in this vein, I challenged myself (and Mike and Taylor) to write a song that hinted at the acknowledgment of something missing without being too specific," Moore said in a statement. "Because if we’ve learned anything in this season of change, it’s the recognition that those we love and cherish are what’s most important and worth celebrating. And that felt like a message to get behind during this special time of year." Christmas classic "It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" was introduced by Andy Williams in 1963, but it's been covered by countless artists since. Edward Pola and George Wyle wrote the song in waltz time, and it's revered as one of the best holiday songs ever recorded. Moore's new holiday single comes on the heels of her first album in more than 11 years, this spring's Silver Landings. The creative burst came after Moore had to postpone her tour in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. Viola produced both singles (as well as Silver Landings) and plays bass and electric guitar on the tracks. On August 17, 1999, Mandy Moore's debut single Candy was released as her debut single. It was also the lead single off her album So Real, launched that December. The song peaked at 41 on the US Billboard H100. The other singles from the album were Walk Me Home and So Real.

Mandy Moore wants to focus on the future, but her past continues to bubble up. Her ex-husband, musician Ryan Adams, wrote an apology and published it in the Daily Mail. It comes a year after he was accused by multiple women of ****** and emotional abuse, including Moore. Adams also reveals he's sober now. The two split in 2015 after six years or marriage. Moore claims he was "psychologically abusive." Asked about the apology, Moore said "Um, you know, it’s challenging because I feel like in many ways I’ve said all I want to say about him and that situation, but I find it curious that someone would make a public apology but not do it privately," she said on the Today show. "Speaking for myself, I’ve not heard from him. I’m not looking for an apology necessarily, but l do find it curious that someone would do an interview about it without actually making amends privately." In his apology, Adams wrote: "To a lot of people this will just seem like the same empty bull***t apology that I've always used when I was called out, and all I can say is, this time it is different. Having truly realized the harm that I've caused, it wrecked me, and I'm still reeling from the ripples of devastating effects that my actions triggered. There is no way to convince people that this time is truly different, but this is the albatross that I deserve to carry with me as a result of my actions." Love Mandy's response. She just wants to move forward, but was open to some kind of amends. Unfortunately, he delivered the olive branch in a very public way and just reminding Mandy that he's manipulative. Thoughts? So, we know there is the sort of iconic quartet of blondes that became famous at the end of the 90s/beginning of the 00s. as the nostalgia wave hits, there is renewed interest in all four of them, and for the first time, they've all been active musically (except Britney but obvi reasons + she has a huge catalogue as is and is still in the media) in the past ~1-2 years and we have heard about them in the news. they were given a rough go back in the day, but some retrospective appreciation is being thrown their way as of late. so my question is, as images became more important than ever, who had the best aesthetic? BRITNEY - the archetype of the group and style of teen pop. definitely the most sort of laid back, casual American style. very natural at first, but even when she was done up more often she retained a natural look for the most part. her music was the litmus test for the style and changed from an originally more adult sound to a much more teen friendly, danceable album by the time it was released (her debut, it is). eventually we saw her perfect teen pop, move into ******, moody dance-pop, graduate into the ambient dance sounds of ITZ, eventually giving way to electropop and etc continuing to evolve, with a pretty huge output in music. CHRISTINA - the "voice" of the group. had a much more done up style than britney, always sporting makeup and donning pink dip dye hair by 2000. she flipped her image much faster and more drastically than the others, sailing from being considered britney's more diva-esque, soulful understudy to a full fledged *****-pop, dance-rnb queen with stripped, eventually moving on to a very unique swing-pop sound before adopting electropop down the line as well, but retaining her aggressive, rnb-laden sound. she often had a sort of teen girl hip hop-lite style, with the bandanas and all. her music was definitely more rnb tinged than britney's, and is personally my favorite debut of the four. though less successful than britney, she was a major force commercially and easily one of the top female performers of the decade despite a pretty scant output JESSICA - the supposed "alternative" that was supposed to be more wholesome. she was oft marketed as an all american queen of abstinence. she was always more ballad heavy than her counterparts, reflecting her influences being less madonna and janet and more celine dion and mariah carey. she could certainly belt, even though her technique was not the best and got worse over time. her debut was less successful; contrasting the equivalent sales of britney and christina (something like 30+ and 17+ million copies respectively), sweet kisses pulled realistically less than 6 million equivalent sales, most likely. however, she was still popular--a double platinum debut before you're 20 is still pretty great, and she was incredibly famous for a decade or more MANDY - definitely the sort of fourth musketeer, she was substantially less successful and is probably known more for being an actress now--but she stayed in the spotlight, showing she had starpower just like the other four. she was considerably younger than the rest, so her style was very cutesy, very teen girl, and less sexualized than even jessica who was marketed as chaste and pure. her music was probably the most heavily produced, but interesting moved in an odd, folksy direction as her fame as a musician quickly fell off.
