The video starts with a parody of news anchor Megyn Kelly, who criticized the double meaning in the lyrics of the song when it was first sent to radio in January, after being chosen as the next single by the fans on an online poll. It was written and produced by Max Martin, with additional writing by Shellback, Savan Kotecha and Alexander Kronlund. The song talks about looking for a girl named Amy who is nowhere to be found, though its title suggest a different meaning when it's rapidly pronounced during the chorus. So much, that the song received complaints from the Parents Television Council, thus leading radio to air a censored version instead, If U See Amy.
