  1. Per CNN: (CNN) - Halsey has a message to concertgoers who don't agree with the singer's views on reproductive rights. Some people in attendance at Halsey's Sunday night concert in Phoenix reportedly left following Halsey's comments criticizing the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe vs. Wade, which protected the right to an abortion. "The truth is that my heart breaks looking out into this audience because I see so many people who deserve to have incredible lives, who deserve the right to healthcare that they need," Halsey, who goes by she/they pronouns, said in a video shared on Twitter by someone in attendance. "I don't want you to ever have to be in a situation where you don't have access to that." They added: "If you don't like it, I don't know why you came to a Halsey concert, because I've never been shy that this is how [I feel]." Halsey addressed the topic again at a show in Dallas on Tuesday. "You are in a building full of 15,000 people," Halsey said. "So all those strangers that you hear stories about, that you think it doesn't affect you in your real life, look to the left, look to the right, look in front of you, look behind you. These people who are here, who are singing along to the same songs as you, who are here because they love the same things as you, maybe even you, there are people in here whose lives will be saved because they have an abortion. I can tell you about one that I know for certain. Right here." Halsey also encouraged the audience to vote for candidates who support reproductive rights.
  2. Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown says she’s be ‘sooooo down’ to play Halsey in a biopic after Halsey said Millie would be a great choice when she appeared on The Tonight Show.
  3. Well it’s here, Halsey has released her new single ‘so good’ Get your TikTok on everyone!
  4. I was there. And what only seemed to be a quick blip in the atmosphere, turned into the American version of a low scale monsoon. There was a Tornado warning an hour before they finally announce that the show was cancelled - after stating the show would resume of course. Apparently the decision was made right away and they didn’t remain completely honest with us as they should have. Like, just tell us the Police wanted us put for our safety first and foremost. They feared an insurgence, which is valid considering the swarm of people that rushed towards the pavilion when the first weather warning had hit. Ugh. Really wanted to see her. 😭😭 https://www.billboard.com/music/pop/halsey-heartbroken-maryland-show-canceled-heavy-rain-flooding-merriweather-post-1235084463/
  5. Halsey announces a live version of her album ‘hopeless fountain kingdom’ live from Webster Hall on June 24th.
  6. 5 years ago today, @Halsey released ‘hopeless fountain kingdom.’ The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 106,000 units and has since been certified Platinum by the @RIAA. It spawned the hit singles “Bad At Love” and “Now Or Never.”
  7. Looks like Halsey’s label expose did the trick. Will it be a TikTok hit?
  8. Sky reacted on her stories by using questions marks after capitol records released a statement involving Halsey not being allowed to release the music she wants out. Does Sky not agree and does she have experience like this herself?
  9. Behold! Sky Ferreira is definitely back and with a whole new attitude! I never knew she was such a savage. She dragged Halsey for her comments about her Halsey’s record label won’t let her release a song unless it goes viral on tik tok This dig doesn’t come out of nowhere. Halsey started this “feud” back in the day when Sky Ferreira was fighting Capitol records to release new music. Sky Ferreira had been put on hold for YEARS without much public knowledge as to why she wasn’t allowed to release anything. Halsey then called her Lazy and Spoiled. It’s ironic since Halsey is now in the same situation Sky has been for years. At the time, Halsey claimed the image of her messages to be photoshopped. this was sky’s reaction: Then, there’s also a time when Halsey tried to rip off Sky’s style and even tried to hire the entire team that worked with Ferreira. Sky called her out on that too! might I add that both girls are signed to Capitol Records… I honestly think Halsey should’ve kept her mouth shut. Sky Ferreira has been through enough so it’s refreshing to see her stand up for herself. Plus sky makes better music. Period. by the way, Sky’s new song “don’t forget” comes out in two days! Support our alt. Indie queen, h03Z! pre-save the song here: https://presave.umusic.com/skyferreira-dontforget/thanks Thoughts?
  10. “I’ve been in this industry for eight years and I’ve sold over 165 million records and my record company is saying I can’t release [the song] unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok.” 😳
  11. Halsey previewed what sounds to be an unrecognisable song at her tour rehearsals
  12. Update: Predictions for Kanye's first-week sales are in. He's going to blast to #1 with at least 300k. Via HDD: Kanye West (G.O.O.D./Def Jam): 300k-300k+ Halsey (Capitol): 95-115k total activity, 70-85k albums Lil Tecca (Galactic/Republic): 30-35k, 1-2k Earlier: Look what he made her do. In what appears to be an attempt to thwart him from going #1, Taylor Swift promoted Halsey's new album hours after Kanye West surprise released his. LIVING for this level of petty.
  13. If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, "A disruptive film and album experience from the mind of Halsey", comes out this week. Who's going? I'm actually really excited for this project. Motherhood ushers in a new era for both established and upcoming artists, and I think this will be a defining moment for her. Ray of Light by Madonna, Blackout by Britney, and Beyoncé by Beyonce were significant timestamps of growth and transformation for each of these artists ... need I say more? I can't recall an artist ever releasing a film nationwide (first) to support an album -- with no single (!) -- that hasn't come out yet. I've got high hopes and am going.
  14. Halsey shared the news on her instagram, Congratulations!
  15. Halsey reissued Manic. It's the only studio album released this year to go platinum by the RIAA. It includes new remixes and songs, including the Target exclusive bonus track, "I'm not Mad," and several acoustic versions. Stream the new version of Manic:
  16. Halsey is returning to Badlands. Her debut studio album turns five-years-old on August 28th. To celebrate, Halsey is teasing something special... what exactly she has in store is under wraps. Fans think it might be a new/never-before-heard single. She's been sending fans Badlands postcards, launched a new website and using lyrics on her Instagram captions. Exhale, do we have any Badlands fans here?
  17. Halsey faced a wave of criticism for comparing the US to a third world country. In the now-deleted Tweet, Halsey said: “The USA is a Third World Country: a thread.” She laid out stats and her beliefs, but Twitter was not having it. She ultimately removed her thread and apologized. The thread: Thoughts? Is the US a third world country?
  18. I'm not a huge fan of chart and streaming data, but I AM a huge proponent of girl power. This is why everyone is like, WhErE's R9 Kinda surprised about Halsey. Anyone missing?
  19. Halsey went on the record to say she endorses Bernie Sanders for president. "I am officially endorsing Bernie Sanders for president," Halsey says. "Bernie has been fighting for me since before I was alive... a queer woman in a multi-racial family who was raised poor in an American suburb. A woman who got into the college of her dreams and couldn't afford to go. A person physically tormented by a reproductive health disorder that I couldn't afford to treat." Thoughts? Are you with Halsey?
  20. Touring is notoriously exhausting. It's burnt out some of our biggest pop stars because the intense travel demands, the energy it takes to put on a show, the struggle to calm down after the show's done, the events and gigs in-between performances, the meet & greets, the pressure to maintain relevancy with new music, social media etc. It's... a lot. I don't envy them. Halsey says after 2020 she's taking a long break from touring. She didn't specify why, but I imagine any (or all) of the reasons above could be it. I value having stability and routine in my life. Traveling and working non-stop would make me lose my ****, so I can only imagine the hard time artists like Halsey have. Especially cause her caliber of stardom isn't like Beyonce, where the label does what you ask for the most part. She's still on the up and up so there's a real likelihood she's being overworked. What do you think? Should she just "suck it up" or does she have a valid reason to take a break after touring concludes?
