Disney's "The Little Mermaid" is coming back to theaters next year, with Halle Bailey bringing a live-action Ariel to the big screen for the first time, and the studio unveiled a sneak peek at the new film at its D23 Expo. 2. The vocals. The costumes. The set. The electric guitar. The nostalgia. This truly was so well done and they all should be very proud of themselves. What a production with incredible performances

  6. Like Flashy said in the 2000s nobody controlled the teen market like Disney channel.. Like how they did with Britney spears, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, they were trying to recreate the innocent teen pop scene which has affected Britney the most (Virgin til married, but dress **** and sell the idea for older men). Between 2001 and 2002 All 3 would declare they're grown up and embracing it..2001's Britney (though due to a last minute cancellation of a crossroads soundtrack, probably more grown up stuff got cancelled out last minute to make it for Crossroads promo hint the enhanced cd containing the over protected Crossroads video, while for the 1997 Spice girls album for Spiceworld worked as a tie in to the movie of the same name, the same in my opinion can't be said about the Britney album as it's clearly two different projects meshed together), stripped for Xtina and Justified for JT in 2002.. They were trying to create a cookie cutter pop star for parents to like, the first one was Hilary Duff. That commercial success in the states proved it could work, and boy did it. However, due to politics and other stuff, by law Forner president Bush, forced abstinence only classes, and it became the curriculum, thus Disney marketed everybody as a virgin and someone safe.. Though like the video said, this affected pop culture badly especially the 2008 VMAS, where Russell brand mocked the concept, to which make matters worse, Jordin sparks killed what little career she had going for her with the whole sl** shaming comments, which like this video said was very popular at the time and Jordin didn't apologize for that statement.. This ring affected everybody and most definitely Demi Lovato who was assaulted so in their mind, they're wearing the ring, and probably thinking in their mind I can't report the assault cos then It would look like i asked for this to happen.. Once, Obama became president the abstinence classes ended, and today's teen pop stars don't have the pressure to be perfect or can't afford to make mistakes as it's no longer seen as authentic anymore to be perfect role models. @Blackout2006 @Urbanney @Jordan Miller @MikeHunt Peep the most darkest clip of the ed videos.. What If I wanna have... before marriage. The teacher in the video says better be prepared to die then..
  7. Hi Guys! I can't be the only one that really enjoyed the Encanto Disney movie right? Well one lone night when i couldn't sleep i was watching loads of Encanto mashups and this popped up on my feed. I was mesmerized by how well the beats go together, and ironically how well the songs fit each other's circumstances. It reminded me of that quote from a music industry worker who said "We dont talk about Britney Spears unless you wanna get blacklisted" - paraphrasing but yeah both families treated one sibling worse that the rest I really think its a creative mashup!

  12. Massey, 29, has been charged with one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes in King County Superior Court in Washington. Actor Kyle Massey, who starred on "That's So Raven" and other Disney Channel shows, is accused of sending pörnographic material to a 13-year-old girl, according to court documents seen by NBC News. Prosecutors allege the crime happened between December 2018 and January 2019 and happened over the Snapchat social media platform. Massey, 29, has been charged with one count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes in King County Superior Court in Washington. The girl's mother gave police a flash drive allegedly containing material, court documents say. In some of the videos, there is a man who appears to Massey exposing himself. Others contained explicit content. The mother told police that at about the same time that her daughter was receiving the messages, Massey asked her to send her daughter from Seattle to Los Angeles to stay with him and his girlfriend, the documents said. Investigators requested data from Snapchat for the account allegedly belonging to Massey and saw "chat" text messages between him and the minor which supported the files given to police by the mother, according to a certification for probable cause. It is unclear whether photos or videos were visible in the chat history. Prosecutors requested the court issue a sëxual assault protection order for the minor and forbid Massey from contacting her. Court documents also show the state asked for an order banning Massey from the internet "absent installation of a computer monitoring system." Massey did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday. The victim, who is not being named because of her age, sued the actor in 2019 for $1.5 million, alleging that he sent "numerous sëxually explicit text messages, images and videos" to her on Snapchat. Massey said in a statement to TMZ at the time that he was being extorted. "No child should ever be exposed to sëxually explicit materials and I unequivocally and categorically deny any alleged misconduct," Massey said in a statement provided by his lawyer, Lee Hutton. Massey is best known for playing Cory Baxter in "That's So Raven" on the Disney Channel from 2003 to 2007. He went on to star in the spin-off series "Cory in the House" until 2008. Massey was also in the Disney Channel movie "Life is Ruff." In 2010, he competed on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" and came in second place with his partner Lacey Schwimmer. Massey failed to appear Monday for an arraignment and a deferred bench warrant was issued, according to the King County Superior Court. His next hearing is scheduled for July 12. http://24.media.tumblr.com/a76fc942de0127804e3f9b8a48a83fe8/tumblr_mmtiouLNaC1so9m34o1_250.gif source: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/s-so-raven-actor-kyle-massey-charged-allegedly-sending-explicit-n1272657
  13. I think a lot of us were growing up watching this crap Britney was a Disney star for a sec in the past This is definitely not a thread for @Blackout2006 cause he's too young to remember any of it so don't even try to reply to this thread honey So you other guys, what shows did u watch and loved? My list: The Suite Life of Zack & Cody - I loved it. It was so funny and it's still iconic. Characters like London Tipton. At that time people weren't that sensitive so there was a lot of funny jokes that wouldn't make a cut today Zeke and Luther - one of them is literally in jail right now for stealing w/ gun And others that I didn't enjoy that much but I watched sometimes like: Wizards of Waverly Place Hannah Montana Phineas and Ferb Sonny with a Chance starring them Shake It Off Most of these shows are so cringy now
  14. Olivia Rodrigo is making sure to keep her music career 'separate' from her life as a Disney star. The "Drivers License" singer, opened up about her path during a Q&A for Nylon, telling the magazine how she is trying to break from the child star stereotypes. 'I'm very aware of that classic "Disney pop girl" archetype,' she said when asked about how stars like Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez's music became 'tethered' to the family friendly entertainment juggernaut. 'My music is definitely separate from my acting in a way I always dreamed would happen,' Olivia went on. She's been grateful for how many new fans she's earned since the song's release back in January, saying: "When "Drivers License" came out, everyone was like, "I have no idea who this Olivia Rodrigo girl is, but I love this song. That is the absolute dream for me, because I've always wanted to be taken seriously as a songwriter. Being an actor can interfere with that, just because being an actor is based on telling lies, and being a songwriter is based on telling the absolute, whole truth," she explained. But Olivia, who rose to fame on the Disney+ favorite High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, said she isn't trying to reject her roots, only be true to herself. '...People always ask me, "Oh, did you say f/**k in Drivers License to show that you aren't just a Disney star?" It's cool that people might think that, but I'm just making music that I love and that I feel passionate about,' she continued. 'It's who I am. I have a dirty mouth. It was what felt natural and good to me, and people resonated with that. And Rodrigo said that while she's proud to be influencing artists to be independent, it was never her main goal. 'If I am ushering in a new generation of pop stars that aren't afraid to speak their mind, that's so cool. I'm just doing my thing, though.'
  15. In the 2000s, disney channel ran the teen pop market after the early 00s Britney spears era, a former Disney star herself, while it was successful, and launched careers of Miley cyrus and others, they also touch How a 2003 album from Hilary duff titled "Metamorphosis", allowed Miley cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez to get recording contracts and deal. But by 2013 a shift changed and it ended their reign, thanks to a song by Lorde called Royals, which was more adult lyrically content, not explicit, but more mature, plus social media also killed record labels finding stars, now the public decides who they like, and acts like Halsey, Khalid, Troye Sivian, and even Billie Eilish, aren't afraid to tackle more mature subjects like *****, depression, ***uality, and in Billie's case, ****** as well. So with a more adult, mature and somewhat more explicit in nature, they even said imagine the hell Disney would get if Billie sang the line, "might seduce your dad type", there would be an outrage of the PG rated friendly brand. So basically, Honest said what killed Disney was a major cultural shift, but he said that doesn't mean they won't create a superstar, they just gotta go outside the family entertainment bubble. But that's a risk, but a risk worth taking is a great long shot.

  17. Walt Disney's grandson Bradford Lund speaks about how he was the victim of a similar scheme as Britney Spears in the Los Angeles probate system and would be willing to testify. He sent a new letter urging Jerry Nadler to open an investigation into conservatorship abuse.
  18. On March 16, 1999 Britney performed at the Disney Happy Easter Parade. Broadcasted on April 04, it was the last televised Disney Easter Parade ever. On March 16, 2002, a Britney performance of Overprotected was aired during the TV special to commemorate the inauguration of Paris' Walt Disney Studio Park. Thanks to Britney Online for the videos @CJMCH
  19. Disney + has unveiled the magical and twisted first full trailer for the highly anticipated Marvel show, Wandavision. Watch as Scarlett Witch's seemingly perfect life starts to unravel and the chaos behind her reality alerting powers begins to show a deeper darkness. Is Marvel adapting the House of M storyline?
