More than 100 people who attended a Taylor Swift-themed party last Friday have since tested positive for COVID-19. The celebration of Swift’s “Red” album is now being considered a super spreader event, and even those attendees who have not yet tested positive for the coronavirus are being asked to isolate. Swift, 32, wasn’t actually at the party — it was a gathering of fans in celebration of the re-release of her 2012 album. But the virus apparently spread quickly to the 600 people who joined. “Anyone who attended the ‘On Repeat: Taylor Swift Red Party’” at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on “10 December is a close contact and must immediately get tested and isolate for 7 days,” a public health alert by New South Wales Health warns. At least 97 cases of COVID-19 have been connected with the party so far. “It is likely some of these cases have the Omicron variant of concern,” the alert notes.

Here in Mexico, after the COVID-19 pandemic forced all the public events to be cancelled, like concerts, many artists have opted to do virtual concerts, usually through Facebook Live, some of them are pre-paid but most of them have been sponsored so they're free to the public. I haven't seen this trend in the US or other parts, but tbh I don't really follow any other artist besides Britney lol so I was wondering how are artists coping with their performances around the world. Are you still getting traditional concerts where you live? Are your favorite or local artists opting for alternatives like virtual concerts? Here are some examples of Mexican artists doing these livestreamed concerts.

Mental health check-in: COVID, unemployment, cancellations
OnlyFacts posted a topic in Mental Health
I wanted to make a thread to see how everyone is doing. We’re all dealing with so much, and I want to see how everyone is holding up around the world, and what you’re doing for your mental health during this trying time? We may get into debates about our favorite artists on here, but in the end, we’re all in this together. And with numbers for COVID cases skyrocketing each day, it’s time that we all start checking in and seeing how we can help support each other (even the ones you’ve had differences with in the past @OnlyBeyonce and @MyahMarie) So, how are YOU doing during this pandemic?- 12 replies

Belgium has announced to cancel ALL cultural events such as summer festivals til the end of August. Belgium has a few huge festivals such as Rock Werchter, Werchter Boutique where Taylor Swift was the headliner this June and Tomorrowland that's known ALL OVER THE WORLD. Taylor was supposed to start her Lover Fest in Belgium. I am sad.
