  1. Ok I was thinking about her book couple of days ago (about title, length etc) and realized that 1 book isn’t enough.. I mean she can tell so much.. If I were her or her team I would decide story in three parts: Book one: The Princess of Pop (her childhood and the path to music industry, her family relationship, how she was raised and what did she felt then and feels now looking at her kid self, having contract at age 15 and working with record company and being top of the world at so young age, dating Justin (she can pass that tbh I just know people want to hear about that), being able to do or not to do even she was free back then, getting married, mona-Lisa and original doll info is just for me :d, having babies, divorce with Kevin… book two: Blackout it’s the most chaotic time of her life and there a lot was going on but the world was observing her only from paparazzis and tabloids side(partying, rehabs, street chase, umbrella thing etc).. she can chronologically write how it was, who was with and against her, what was the cause of some actions, how they manipulated her and society as well.. it’s a sensitive time for her I know but that tweet(or post) about her mother slapping her made me think that she is open to talk about that period plus I think next chapter of her life is more sensitive.. book 3: *** it’s about c-ship, how it started, who was responsible, what was she thinking before/when is started, what changed for her, her family, her managers, record company, media, society etc. I think it’s important for her to express her observation about the whole world and what she felt at every serious moment of her life.. and of course she should expose all of them and it’s so much to talk about mainly about abuse, money stealing, trafficking etc.. a lot happened in her career as well and in family too.. and after 14 years c-ship ended and that’s a lot of talk as well Book fourth: Britney Spears I know I said it should be 3 but I think she has to write 4(for now)! in her fourth book she should just review everything and her observations, how she feels about the whole situation and about her whole persona, what she wanted from life then and what she wants now. What is she doing now and if she has plans about her future, what happened after c-ship, dating/marring Sam etc.. mainly what is to be Britney Spears for this moment. She have seen the highest and the lowest of this world.. I think her feelings and observations matters a lot! p.s. I know it’s not gonna happen but if Brit is here she might like an idea.. plus she has deal now for one book maybe and can expend it on four lol
  2. Madonna shared her thoughts on Instagram about the criticism she faced when her book ‘s**’ was released “30 years ago I published a book called S.E.X. In addition to photos of me naked there were photos of Men kissing Men, Woman kissing Woman and Me kissing everyone. I also wrote about my ***ual fantasies and shared my point of view about ***uality in an ironic way,” “I spent the next few years being interviewed by narrow minded people who tried to shame me for empowering myself as a Woman,”. “I was called a *****, a witch, a heretic and the devil.” “Now Cardi B can sing about her WAP. Kim Kardashian can grace the cover of any magazine with her naked *** and Miley Cyrus can come in like a wrecking ball,” “You’re welcome b—-es”. https://t.co/QjIqNCzKIm
  3. Y’all, anyone else dying to know of it was Britney or Team Con that pushed the re-release of Radar. if it was Team Con, I could only imagine how humiliating that must have felt for Britney. *especially because it wasn’t even a remixed version. I can’t wait for this book release!?! I don’t even like to read books! 😁
  4. Yeah we know it’s a “You’ll have to wait and see” situation after the release of britney’s highly anticipated “tell all” memoir but do you imagine Britney will ever publish her poetry work with Simon & Schuster? The woman has A+ talent in the writing field.
  5. Bonjour!! ****** <3 <3 ****** I'm Greta, a longtime lurker of this forum – and also a huge britney fan <3 A few years ago I posted here, for my BA final project where I made a book about Britney. I was wondering if anyone here owns a copy of The Onyx Hotel Tour Book, that was for sale as merchandise on the tour? And also if you have any stories or thoughts related to it? Like did you buy it when you saw her on the tour or from Ebay? How did you feel about it? I'm doing a little (actually it's pretty big) fan-made version of it – risoprinted in four colors. Below is a photo of one of the pages in the book. The reason I ask this, is because I'm studying for my Masters degree at the Estonian Academy of Art in Graphic Design – I'm currently working on a project titled "The Most Beautiful Books" where I investigate the influence of pop culture designs on people, and specifically how the material Britney released has had an effect on what I find beautiful. Sorry if this is a really weird question! I appreciate any and all answers hihi <3 <3 <3 xoxo greta ******
  6. After Britney Spears tore into her family after years of 'abuse,' HollywoodLife has EXCLUSIVELY learned that she's just getting started in 'telling her story.' Those who think Britney has no more tea to spill should think again. “Seeing ‘Hold Me Closer‘ [her duet with Elton John] soar to the top of the charts really brought Britney back to before the conservatorship and made her reminisce on the way that her life was then,” a source tells HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “She did the audio recording because she wanted her family to hear it, and she knows that they did.” “She knows that the intended recipients heard this,” the insider added. “This is just a fraction of what she is going to say in her book. But, as she said, telling her story is the only way that she is going to heal from this, and she wants nothing more than to put this behind her and move on with her life and her career. She isn’t going to get that time back that was taken from her, but she does realize that she still has an entire life ahead of her.” The book doesn’t have an official release date, but a July report by TMZ claims that it was initially set for January 2023. 8. Miranda Cosgrove Shocked by Jennette McCurdy's 'Exploited' Childhood Claims: 'You Can't Imagine That' Miranda Cosgrove didn't know everything that was happening behind the scenes with Jennette McCurdy. McCurdy, 30, looks back at her childhood rise to fame on iCarly and alleges that her late mother, Debra McCurdy, didn't protect her from the dangers of the entertainment industry in her upcoming memoir I'm Glad My Mom Died. Cosgrove, 29, who starred opposite McCurdy on the hit Nickelodeon show from 2007 to 2012, recently told The New York Times that she didn't know what her friend was going through, despite their close relationship. "When you're young, you're so in your own head," Cosgrove said of her costar, who played her character Carly Shay's bubbly best friend Sam Puckett. "You can't imagine that people around you are having much harder struggles." "You don't expect things like that from the person in the room who's making everyone laugh," she added. Following her time on iCarly, McCurdy went on to star in the shorter-lived Nickelodeon series Sam & Cat alongside Ariana Grande before ultimately quitting acting after her mom died in 2013. In the upcoming memoir, McCurdy recalls a time that her mom failed to intervene when she was served alcohol by an authority figure referred to as the Creator. In another instance, she wished Debra had stepped in when she was pressured to be photographed in a bikini as a teen. Instead, McCurdy told the Times that her mom would remind her, "Everyone wants what you have." "My whole childhood and adolescence were very exploited," she said. "It still gives my nervous system a reaction to say it. There were cases where people had the best intentions and maybe didn't know what they were doing. And also cases where they did — they knew exactly what they were doing." McCurdy has long been vocal about her decision to quit acting. During a March 2021 episode of her Empty Inside podcast, she discussed feeling discontent during her years on screen. "I was a famous 19-year-old, and making a bunch of money, and I felt like I had everything at my fingertips," she explained. "But I was deeply unhappy, and I actually really resented my life because I didn't like the projects that I was a part of." "It's a difficult thing to say because the shows that I was on were so loved by so many people and so many kids, and I hear constantly, 'You made my childhood,' " she added. "And I think that's great that they had that experience. But that just was not my experience, and I felt a lot of shame — that I wasn't able to identify at the time — because I didn't like waltzing onto an over-lit, cheesy set and shouting a line. It felt so pointless and shallow." In an excerpt of the upcoming memoir shared with Entertainment Weekly, McCurdy recalls attempting to quit acting before landing the role on the Nickelodeon show. "We're on the way home, in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the 101 South," McCurdy wrote. "I'm sitting in my booster seat since I'm still small enough to be required to sit in it." "'I don't want to act anymore,' I say before I even realize I've said it," she continued. "Mom looks at me in the rearview mirror. A mixture of shock and disappointment fills her eyes. I immediately regret saying anything." McCurdy's mother reacts: "'Don't be silly, you love acting. It's your favorite thing in the world,' Mom says in a way that makes it sound like a threat." Though McCurdy held her ground, she said she ultimately gave in to her mom's opinion. "'You can't quit!" she sobs. 'This was our chance! This was ouuuuur chaaaaance!' " McCurdy writes of her mother. "She bangs on the steering wheel, accidentally hitting the horn. Mascara trickles down her cheeks. She's hysterical, like I was in the Hollywood Homicide audition. Her hysteria frightens me and demands to be taken care of." "Nevermind," McCurdy replied. I'm Glad My Mom Died will be released Tuesday.
  9. The ink is dry on Britney's tell-all memoir, but she's unable to release it because there's no paper to print it on due to the supply shortage. 🤔 Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ (😩) the memoir is complete, which will be released with publisher Simon & Schuster with a tentative release date slated for January, but because there's a paper shortage they're delaying the release. There's no clear date on when the book officially comes out. A couple of factors are to blame for the paper shortage: more people started ordering books during the pandemic which decreased the paper supply. There's also a labor shortage at the manufacturing plants. Earlier this year, Britney sounded off: "all the documentaries were trash !!! I'm sure that was ignition to move me forward but honestly I just wanted spit in any persons face that came near me," Britney said. "But I said.. just do a book the easiest way possible and considering my fear of people I might have to write them off for the next decade !!! Sitting down and sharing my story might not be the safest thing for anyone !!! My book comes out the end of this year ,.. Once it's released not sure whats gonna happen folks." Related:
  10. After signing a $15 million book deal, Britney Spears' publishers have made it very clear that the singer, 40, needs to step away from social media and stop giving away her story for free. “Basically, Britney has been told to shut up and save all the details for the book,” a source exclusively tells OK!. “Why would anyone want to buy the book if she keeps blabbing on social media for free?” Moving forward, it's likely that the blonde beauty will keep quiet and not spill anymore details about her latest project. “After 13 years of being silenced by a conservatorship, it wasn’t easy to tell Britney she needs to remain silent,” the insider adds. “But let’s just say she now has 15 million reasons to agree.” Insiders add that the writing process with Spears has been "difficult," as the Hollywood star isn't used to talking about her past with people she hardly knows. "Understandably, Britney doesn't trust many people. She doesn't like strangers or meeting new people. So, you can image how challenging it has been to get Britney to meet a total stranger and reveal all the deepest secrets in her life," the source explains. "They have tried to set up meetings with maybe a dozen ghost writers. Most of those meetings she blew off, and the meetings that did happen did not go well." 11. My book The Number Ones, which is coming out in November, is about the 20 most pivotal chart-toppers in Hot 100 history. There’s a chapter on “Baby One More Time” in there, and its inclusion was obvious. I didn’t even have to think about it.The Number Ones: Twenty Chart-Topping Hits That Reveal The History Of Pop Music is out 11/15 via Hachette Books. You can pre-order it here. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0306826534?tag=gum00-20 The rise of Britney Spears was a product of its moment. It came out of the convergence of certain trends and decisions and lucky breaks. But her arrival, smashing into public consciousness like a comet into the earth, felt inevitable at the time. Today, looking back, it feels just as inevitable — as though Britney Jean Spears could’ve been born anywhere, in any circumstance, and she still would’ve become one of the most famous people on the planet before reaching adulthood. That kind of feeling can only come out of an earthshaking pop moment, and “Baby One More Time” is nothing if not that. At this point, the details of Britney Spears’ early life feel like the stuff of a comic-book origin story. McComb, Mississippi and then Kentwood, Louisiana. Daycare-supervisor mother. Construction worker father. Southern baptist church choir. Dancing lessons. Talent shows. Boundless ambition. A failed Mickey Mouse Club audition. A move to New York, learning her trade at the Fame school and serving as an understudy on an off-Broadway musical. A televised performance, singing the Judds’ “Love Can Build A Bridge” on Star Search and losing. The real problem was that the world never looked at her as a little girl, even when she was a little girl. Then, when Britney Spears was a grown woman with kids of her own, she had her adult rights stripped away from her for years on end. But that’s a ****ed up story for another column. Britney’s mother contacted Larry Rudolph, the high-powered New York entertainment lawyer who would eventually become Britney’s manager, and then her conservator. One of Rudolph’s clients was Lou Pearlman, the odious figure who assembled the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC. Britney auditioned for Pearlman, who was putting together a girl group called (yeesh) Innosense. Pearlman offered Britney a spot in the group, and she almost took it, but she decided at the last moment that she wanted to be a solo artist instead. Larry Rudolph could help with that. (Britney chose wisely. Innosense was a group for six years, and they never made any hits.) Larry Rudolph set up auditions with three labels, and a 15-year-old Britney flew to New York with her mother. The first two labels passed. Jive didn’t just sign Britney Spears because she had a good voice. The people at Jive knew that things in pop music were changing. There was a whole new generation of consumers, teenagers and preteens, who wanted the sort of big, bright, proudly plastic pop music that had fallen out of favor in the ’90s. Britney thought she’d be making music that was more in the adult contemporary zone; The Song Machine quotes her saying that she’d imagined something like “Sheryl Crow, but younger.” Jive had other ideas. Max Martin did not write “Baby One More Time” for Britney Spears. When Martin wrote the song that he called “Hit Me Baby (One More Time),” he thought it was R&B, and he thought that the song should go to TLC. They rejected the track. Years later, T-Boz told MTV, “I was like, ‘I like the song, but do I think it’s a hit? Do I think it’s TLC?’… Was I going to say, ‘Hit me baby one more time’? Hell no!” Martin also offered the song to Robyn, but she didn’t record it, either. Britney Spears, 16 years old and just signed, was not in a position to turn songs down, but she wouldn’t have turned down “Baby One More Time” anyway. She loved it. Britney flew to Sweden — her first time overseas — and recorded that song and a few others with Max Martin. With “Baby One More Time,” he figured that everyone would understand the whole “hit me, baby, one more time” refrain meant “call me,” that it wasn’t about violence or S&M. Jive changed Martin’s title to “Baby One More Time,” trying to avoid controversy. (Technically, the title is “…Baby One More Time,” but I’m not typing a million ellipses into this column.) It didn’t work. Maybe that weird S&M frisson helped the song become indelible, inescapable. With everything else that we know about Britney Spears’ career, would you doubt it? “Baby One More Time” is not a song about violence. It’s about outright romantic desperation, and Martin’s lyrics are written in near-mythic terms: “My loneliness is killing me, and I must confess, I still believe.” It’s simple pop stuff, and it sounds elemental. Some of that is the sheer blinding focus of Martin’s songwriting and production, and some of it is the way that Britney Spears sings it. Britney Spears never met Denniz Pop, who died of stomach cancer in 1998, at the age of 35, though Pop was still credited as one of the producers on Britney’s debut album Baby One More Time. The night before she recorded “Baby One More Time,” Britney didn’t sleep much. Instead, she listened to Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” over and over, using it as a kind of guide. Britney told Rolling Stone, “I wanted my voice to be kind of rusty… I wanted my voice to just be able to groove with the track. So the night before, I stayed up really, really late, so when I went into the studio, I wasn’t rested. When I sang it, I was just laid back and mellow — it sounds cool, though. You know, how it sounds really low in the lower register — it sounds really ****. So I kept telling myself, ‘Britney, don’t get any rest.'” Pop music sounds like Britney Spears, too. Britney’s whole life story is so ****ed-up and sad for so many reasons, but that story also has plenty of triumphs. “Baby One More Time” announced Britney Spears as a generational figure, a born pop star. She made good on that promise. Britney Spears won’t return to this column for a surprisingly long time, but we will see her again. 12. Britney Spears or how a star became the 'Joan of Arc of pop'. It's Britney *****, said Britney Spears at the beginning of one of her most controversial songs, Gimme more, and this could have been the slogan of her life this 2021. The one who is for many the pop princess of the 90's has had her own resurgence this past year, thanks to the #FreeBritney movement. The singer has managed to free herself from her father's custody in a media trial. Although to understand the artist you have to go beyond her critical 2007 since the singer's story has been forged since her childhood in Mississippi (USA) in the 80s. This period and her subsequent fame are analyzed by journalist Juan Sanguino in his illustrated biography Britney. One more time (Bruguera). For him, Spears' childhood is a "very heavy suitcase". "Her mother got pregnant with her after separating from her father, with whom she had a very volatile marriage, he was an alcoholic, very violent, they lived in a caravan.... They represented all the stereotypes of lower class people in the southern US. Very believing, but with very little culture, people with very little economic possibilities, and she was born as the savior of her family," he explains. According to Sanguino, Spears' youth was based on taking care of her family on a psychological and economic level as a result of her triumph in dance and in the Disney universe. "This generated in her a sense of responsibility, discipline and a pathological self-demand that made her obsessed with being perfect and pleasing others. Throughout her adult life, we see how these two ideas are constantly shaping her thoughts and actions," he explains. "This turns against her because the press is against her because they start to say that she is a naïve girl but in reality she is a sl**, they insult her, etc.," she adds. Continue reading ⬇

  20. Rather than debate the merits of a book vs an interview, I thought it'd be a good idea to compose a list of questions we've always wanted Britney to answer. Think in terms of her entire story and not just the past 13 years. Let's try as much as possible to keep personal opinion and debate out of it and just stick with a list of (serious) questions. That way, if Britney does in fact have spies on BreatheHeavy, she has a place where she can easily see what us fans would most like to read about. I'll go first: - Her relationship with her family prior to fame. - Did she ever feel like she was being exploited in the early days, over***ualized, the whole ‘virgin’ thing, is she happy with the direction her career went in? - Her relationship with Larry Rudolf. - Would she have liked to do more live singing performances? - What happened with Justin? - Why did she marry Jason Alexander? - Her marriage with Kevin Federline, the birth of her kids and her divorce - the beginning of the media downfall. - Did she have post-partum depression? - Why did she shave her head? - Her relationship with Sam Lutfi. - What happened on the night she locked herself in the bathroom and was strapped to a gurney. - Her feelings about her stints in rehab, was she being treated for an addiction or mental illness? - What happened with her mum during this time? Where did Felicia go? - What and who triggered the conservatorship? Did she ever feel like this was a good thing? - What happened with the men she’s dated over the past 13 years, were the relationships genuine? Healthy? - Was she over-medicated during the XFactor? - Did she feel like she had a choice in any of the the different career moves since 2008, did she enjoy doing Vegas, how much input has she had on the recent albums? - Is she still struggling with mental illness? - Her relationship with her kids. - Her relationship with Sam. - When did ‘Project Rose’ start and was she trying to communicate her need for help through Instagram? - Does she actually have any celebrity friends or are they all just a bunch of fakes. - Does she think reconciliation with her family is possible? - What does she want for her future? What’d I miss?
