Talk about longevity. Breaking the record for the longest run to the summit, "Heat Waves" by British indie band Glass Animals reaches #1 on its 59th week. Originally released on June 29th, 2020, the song had to wait until January 2021 to debut in the Hot 100, doing so at #100, completing an unusual path from 100-1. I personally really like the song, and I'm glad to see this type of music doing well in the charts. How do you feel about the song, Exhale?

So... Drake just scored three Top 3 debuts with What's Next, Wants and Needs, and Lemon Pepper Freestyle going on at #1, #2, and #3 respectively. He breaks the tie with Mariah Carey, Travis Scott, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift becoming the second act with most #1 debuts after Ariana (who has 5). Judging by how artists are scoring #1s that fade away after a few weeks, I think such milestones don't even matter anymore... Thoughts? Source: Forbes, Hot 100 Related:

The re-recorded Love Story debuts at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, but breaks a record by debuting at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Taylor is already the woman with most Hot 100 entries (129 entries), she may actually double that with the re-recordings! According to Billboard staff, the song could have debuted higher, but the timing was off (with Cardi, Olivia, and the Weeknd hype). They also predict a big debut for You Belong With Me if released in the right time frame. In the UK, it debuted at #12.
