It’s official! October 1st is declared as 'Bad Bunny Day' for the city of Los Angeles, California. 6x Grammy Award winning superstar, Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, known professionally as Bad Bunny received an honorary declaration from the city of Los Angeles for his notable impact on Latino culture. “The City of LA’s population is 50% Latino, one of the largest Latino populations in the world outside Latin American countries,” said Los Angeles city councilman Kevin de León. “Bad Bunny’s cultural impact will have a tremendous and positive influence on future generations and will redefine Latino culture in Los Angeles and beyond for years to come.” Bad Bunny is also recognized for his music that confronts topics such as racism, homophobia, economic injustices, gender violence and more. The 28-year-old superstar currently holds the title of the 'Most-Streamed' Latin artist on Spotify, along with being the 'all-time most-streamed artist globally in a single day.' His album “El Último Tour del Mundo” was the first-ever Spanish language album to top the Billboard 200 charts and his most recent album "Un Verano Sin Ti" has currently been at #1 for 12 weeks. The rapper recently headlined two sold-out shows on both September 30th and October 1st at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California during his mega-successful "World's Hottest Tour", becoming the 5th artist in HISTORY to exceed $300 million in ticket sales in a single year joining U2, Madonna, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. Cardi B, who was the surprise performer for his Saturday show on October 1st took to Twitter by comparing the event to the Super Bowl which also took place at SoFi Stadium. Vanessa Bryant also attended and thanked Bad Bunny for inviting her as a guest to his concert to honor the late Kobe Bryant and their daughter: “Thank you for gifting us your 6 Rings song ... We had a great time. I loved seeing my Gigi’s bracelet on your wrist during your concert! It brought a smile to all of our faces. Gracias Benito! 💜💛” Bad Bunny also became the most awarded artist of the night at the 2022 Latin Billboard Music Awards winning nine awards total -- including 'Artist of the Year', 'Album of the Year', 'Tour of the Year' and 'Songwriter of the Year'. With Bad Bunny’s new release Un Verano Sin Ti being sold at a measly $6.99 for 23 songs, do you think it’s a desperate attempt at debuting at number one, or do you think it’s an attempt to make his music affordable? When I see a price tag like that it makes me automatically assume the music is just not good because I have always preferred quality over quantity. I know he sells the most through streaming figures and the majority consumes his music for free through streaming, but do you think artists should be allowed to discount their music this much to chart?

https://www.billboard.com/articles/business/chart-beat/9495004/bad-bunny-el-ultimo-tour-del-mundo-billboard-200-number-one/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social Bad Bunny made music history today, the first all Spanish language album to top the All Genre Billboard 200. The Surprise release opened with over 100K units, the biggest streaming week for a Spanish album ever. They do note, bilingual albums topped the Billboard 200 Like Selena's Dreaming of you (which at 70X RIAA Latin certified status makes it the top certified Latin album of all time), but never a full album. As For Miley cyrus, plastic hearts debuts at #2 with 60K units, to outdo her last album yes girl, Its her 13th career top ten, her best opening numbers since 2013's Bangerz, The self released Miley cyrus and her dead petz was ineligible to chart cos at the time, any official sound cloud releases were ineligible to chart. Billboard changed that when a certain Billie Eilish was picking up streams there, and official remixes to acts like lady gaga and such was being issued through the djs sound cloud. Michael Buble's iconic Christmas album from 2012 returns to the top ten as well. Congrats to Bad Bunny and Miley good job we're gonna get you gold at least on your most critically acclaimed project to date. * Billboard adds all album's released under her self despised alias Hannah Montana to her career totals.

Bad Bunny is looking might foine in the new issue of Rolling Stone. And I absolutely love what he said about releasing back-to-back albums. The world is hurting right now and he's trying to make it a better place by sharing as much music as possible. Gotta respect that. "I just thought, ’Damn. What people need is entertainment." The new pics were shot by his girlfriend, cause it's 2020 le sigh. How we feeling about these new pics, Exhale?

Not even after three months from dropping his first surprise album of 2020 YHLQMDLG ( Yo Hago Lo Que Me Da La Gana) , one of the biggest stars of the genre Urbano, Bad Bunny returns with another surprise album, La Que Nos Iban A Salir (The Ones That Were Not Going To Come Out). Listen on Spotify Listen on Apple Music A compilation of solid, previously unreleased tracks that were so polished and incredibly immaculate, that the Puertorican superstar decided to make another full LP out of them. As opposed to YHLQMDLG this LP feels more mid-tempo reggaeton with more melodic beats, rather than the boastful and rhythmically inclined YHLQMDLG. “Bad Con Nicky” finds the Puertorican star paying homage to old school reggaeton and perreo , one of the stand out tracks from the LP, with a hypnotic beat that can get anyone to get on their feet and dance the night away. This is undoubtedly Bad Bunny’s year, a year that has found the star breaking records in both Latin and American charts. Bad Bunny is a breath of fresh air, in a genre that is inclined to machismo and toxic masculinity, Bad Bunny has blurred the lines of fashion, inclusivity and phenomenal music with lyrics and bars to match. Bad Bunny is the epitome and embodiment of what the Reggeaton genre was missing, making it a point to stand out in a genre where so many blend in. Go stream Las Que No Iban A Salir, you won’t be disappointed 🐰🖤
