If anybody can top the Reductive comment on Lady Gaga, it would be the original club queen herself Grace Jones. I don't know about you but I rather be called reductive then basically described as a bunch of personalities, and no soul or real person behind there.. This isn't just shade, she threw the school bus sat gaga with this description of her. But it did as some say showcased the veterans treatment of the younger generation and their pop stars but oddly they all agree Britney spears actually respected by all, cos she never went the lengths of what Gaga did, and they said almost everybody had something negative to say or distance themselves from Gaga. There has to be a reason why. Most of her idol's outside of Elton John and Michael Jackson never cared for her, David Bowie son hints his father wasn't a fan and the Grammy tribute was disrespectful especially asking an artist he never cared for tondo a tribute like that, The Brits one. he remained silent . @bas che

Lately I've been thinking about some of my favorite movies featuring great performances from Black pop stars. Obviously the late, great Whitney Houston comes to mind right away. The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale, The Preacher's Wife. Whitney wowed us as a leading lady in The Bodyguard and her performance broke barriers at the time. Even though she faced criticism from film critics, it's safe to say some of her movies have undoubtedly stood the test of time. Mariah has been cast in some very impressive dramatic roles in Lee Daniels films Precious and The Butler. Justice For Glitter! Beyonce in Dreamgirls and The Lion King. Janet Jackson (Miss Jackson if you're nasty) in Poetic Justice Diana Ross, Janelle Monae, Aaliyah, Will Smith. The list goes on... I'm curious what some of your fave crossover performances are. Let's discuss!
