  1. At first glance, these albums may seem completely different BUT if you listen, you can tell that there are similar RnB and Pop elements in each album. It was 2000 and Britney Spears was the first human to ever make it to Mars. Once there, she found a copy of her album and the rest is history. Oops went on to sell over 20 million copies worldwide. It was at an exact moment in time where a specific production style of orchestra hits, layered backing vocals, RnB vocal runs and anthemic choruses with high note climaxes, combined with "tick tick tock tick" 4/4 beats, were all the rage and constantly in the top 10 on the charts. Britney was here to prove that her first album wasn't just a fluke. She pulled all the tricks from her most popular singles and made an album FULL of radio hit material. This is the GOLDEN example of millennium Pop. Next year, it seemed Destiny's Child wanted to capitalize on their Pop music success and release an album that catered to their pop fans a little more. Now that 2 members were out and they were now a 3some with Michelle, it was time to rebrand for the new millennium. Survivor already had a huge hit their "Independent Women Part 1" from the Charlies Angel's soundtrack, so they wanted to move into that Pop direction. It is obvious that they drew inspiration from Millennium brand of pop in their singles. IMO, these are the 2 best Female albums that are examples of the Millennium pop we all loved. Survivor went on to sell over 10 millions copies worldwide. Oops tracklist vs Survivor tracklist 1. Oops...I Did It Again 1. Independent Women Part 1 2. Stronger 2. Survivor 3. 2. Per EW: "Sorry" is all Method Man needs to get by. The legendary rapper issued a decades-old apology to Destiny's Child for a perceived slight, saying that the trio "did not deserve that. At all." Let's set the stage. It's 2001. Pop music is at its bubblegum millennial peak. Destiny's Child, once a foursome, has reached its ultimate form as a triad: Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. It's Janet Jackson's MTV Icon special, at which the ladies were in attendance to honor the then- and current-queen of pop and R&B. Method Man had met the girl group back in 1999, when DC had four members, and felt a level of comfort with them. "I see the girls, and so, you know, I kind of moseyed out of my seat to go and say what's up to them," Method Man (real name Clifford Smith, Jr.) told rapper Math Hoffa on the latter's podcast, My Expert Opinion. m*** noted that this was during his "low self-esteem era" during which he had an addiction to ecstasy and was riddled with depression and anxiety. "I go over to say hi to them, and when I said hi, they didn't even turn around and acknowledge me. Now, my a-- in my head with my low self-esteem is like, 'Oh, they just s---ted on me.' When in fact they didn't even hear me." So with this perceived slight still weighing on his mind, when he and DC3 meet up again, they extended their hands to greet him and Method Man simply left them hanging. "They put their hands out to shake, and I kept my hand here and was like, 'Go head with that Hollywood s---.' To this day, that s--- hurt my heart, because neither Kelly, Beyoncé, or Michelle ever did any f---ing thing to me. You know?" Method Man then took the opportunity to issue a formal apology to all three members of Destiny's Child. "To this day, I don't think that I ever apologized for that," he said. "I apologize to Beyoncé. I apologize to Kelly Rowland, and Michelle. Y'all did not deserve that. At all." Bey's mother Tina Lawson observed m***'s apology and thanked him for being the bigger man in an Instagram post. "Thank you, Method Man," the all-mother of the BeyHive wrote. "It takes a real man to tell this story! Such a great example for other young men. Don't assume someone is dissing you!" Yeah, especially when it's pretty clear when Destiny's Child is dissing you.
  3. A new song titled "Destiny’s Child” has been registered on the ASCAP database. Ian Kirkpatrick (Move Me & Sweat), Ariel Rechtshaid (Stay Away, Black Roses, Lock You Up, Nuclear Seasons, Lightning) and Charli are credited as composers. Charli is credited as performer.
  4. On October 30, 2001, a group of artists under the name of Artists Against AIDS Worldwide released a 9 mix CD, which included multiple cover versions of the Marvin Gaye song What's Going On. The intention behind this album was to benefit the AIDS programs in Africa and other regions, but after the 9/11 attacks, it was decided that half of the proceeds would go to the American Red Cross' fund as well. The artists that collaborated in this campaign were Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Mary J. Blige, Bono, Destiny's Child, Jermaine Dupri, Fred Durst, Eve, Perry Farrell, Nelly Furtado, Nona Gaye, Darren Hayes, Ja Rule, Jagged Edge, Alicia Keys, Aaron Lewis, Lil' Kim, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Martin, Pat Monahan, Monica, Nas, Nelly, *NSync, P. Diddy, T Boz and Chili, Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Michael Stipe, User and Scott Weiland. The single, produced by Jermaine Dupri and Bono, peaked at #27 on the BBH100 and it became a Top 10 hit in several other countries. The music video was directed by Jake Scott.
  5. Michelle Williams isn't here for the cancelation for the 2004 track Cater 2 U by destiny's child, the track is being linked to slavery claims, according to cancel culture. But she makes fun of women who won't cater 2 their men for working hard, saying no wonder your single, you won't allow the man to provide for the household or reward him with love making his way, not yours honey, his way.
  6. Nobody has seen this until now! Destiny's child praises Britney for selling tons of records but still being nice and keeping that southern hospitality at heart. I've heard from people from the south they stay there, cos they visit every other place and it feels very different and rude to them. Between LA And New York, southern people are like no, thank you. Get me outta here.. Related:
  7. Destiny's Child served quite a few hit singles, but which do you think are their best? I love Bug-a-boo, they really said "even if the Pope said he likes you too, I don't really care cause you're a bugaboo" I also love Girl it's so good
