  1. Adele says she would love to end her 30 tour in Brazil when answering a question when she would come to the South America country. She even jokes that she wouldn’t be able to sing and hear herself (because of crazy brazilian fans on FF tour that I always bring it up, LOL). Watch below:
  2. Per Deadline: To Adele, the decision to postpone her Las Vegas residency is now water under the bridge. The British songstress, who is headlining two festival shows at BST Hyde Park this weekend, told BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs that going forward with her planned Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace earlier this year was impossible, saying the show simply was not up to her standards. The concerts were initially scheduled to begin Friday, Jan. 21 and run through mid-April. The postponements without any make-up dates remains a sore spot for many Adele fans and critics. “I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment and I was devastated and I was frightened about letting them down, and I thought I could pull it together and make it work and I couldn’t, and I stand by that decision,” she said in the BBC interview. She acknowledged the backlash was “brutal” from fans angry at shelling out money for travel and hotels, not to mention taking time off from work. That anger left her a “shell of a person for a couple of months.” She added ““You can’t buy me, you can’t buy me for nothing. I’m not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we’re going to lose loads of money. I’m like, ‘The show’s not good enough.’” There is still no date planned for what was alleged to be a “postponement.” The stage sets for the planned show have been junked, according to reports, and the venue has moved forward with other artists. “I’m not gonna update you if I ain’t got nothing to update you with, because that just leads to more disappointment.” Why the shows were cancelled remains unclear. Adele at first blamed the pandemic, saying that “Half my crew, half my team is down with COVID — they still are — and it’s been impossible to finish the show.” Later, it was reported that there were professional clashes between Adele and the production team over a 60-person choir and a pond that the singer would rise from on the stage. The London shows,in London’s Hyde Park featured an all-female lineup of artists, highlighted by Kacey Musgraves.

  4. Per Deadline: More than 5,000 miles from her Las Vegas disaster in the residency that never was, Adele is making amends with a special two-day concert spectacular. The show, billed as BST (for British Summer Time) will be held July 1-2 in London’s Hyde Park, and will feature an all-female lineup of artists, highlighted by Kacey Musgraves. Also appearing are Mahalia, Self Esteem, Nilüfer Yanya, Tiana Major9, Chrissi, Gabrielle, Bonnie Kemplay, Ruti and Tamzene. It’s uncertain if every artist will appear both nights. “The line up for my Hyde Park shows next week is going to blow your socks off!” Adele wrote on social media, sharing a poster for the festival as well as a black-and-white graphic of her with some of her guest performers. “An all-female bill, from new artists that I’m obsessed with to the heavenly @KaceyMusgraves to one of my favorite artists of all time @GabrielleUk who I’ve loved since I was 4!!” “It’s going to be incredible, there’s a whole host of us performing all day, I can’t wait to share the main stage with you ladies,” added Adele. The shows are a shot at redemption for the 34-year-old British singer, who backed out of a long Las Vegas residency earlier this year, leaving many fans fuming after expending travel time and shelling out for lodging. BST Hyde Park is sponsored by American Express and takes place every year across two weekends in London. The event began Friday, June 24 with headliner Elton John, and is expected to end July 10 with Duran Duran. In between, Eagles, Pearl Jam, and The Rolling Stones will be headlining different days of the festival, all of them hosting their own roster of guest stars.
  5. The predictions about Harry’s House, his third studio solo album were correct. The album still sit atop of Billboard 200 for the second consecutive week after landing at #1 in the release week and having the best first week sales of the year so far. Harry’s House is the first album to stay at #1 for two consecutive weeks since 30 from Adele after achieving six consecutive weeks on the top in December 2021. From the 160.500 units sold, 102.500 are coming from streaming. The project was reproduced more than 134 million times in the audio platforms in seven days. Over 56.000 units are physical sales.
