  9. Hello y’all, 2020 was an amazing year in music considering the circumstances, but 2021 has also given us plenty of bops. I was curious what has been your favorite song released this year? ONE song please I have a few I wanted to include, but limiting it to one I would have to say Venus Fly Trap by Marina. It is an anthem and it reminds me of Britney’s situation. “Don't underestimate me 'Cause one day you're gonna see you're in a losing battle Babe, you'll never stop me being me I got the beauty, got the brains Got the power, hold the reins I should be mother****in' crazy Nothing in this world could change me They'll shame you, blame you, pretend to even hate you Take away your rights, pacify you with their lies Whatever you give life, you are gonna get back Why be a wallflower when you can be a Venus fly trap?” AND she looks like a complete goddess in the music video and although minimal, one of my favorite music videos released in recent years.
  10. The time is here Exhale. Marina's fifth studio album titled Ancient Dreams In a Modern Land is out! Related:
  11. Welsh singer-songwriter and producer Marina Diamandis known mononymously as Marina released her new single Purge The Poison and it’s music video today. The song is the second single off her fifth studio album titled Ancient Dreams In a Modern Land The song was teased May 2020 and included references to Britney. “2007 when size zero was the rage Britney shaved her head and all we did was call her crazed Harvey Weinsten’s gone to jail ‘Me Too’ went on to unveil Truth in all it’s glory The ending of a story It’s a new world order Everything just falls away Our life as we knew it Now belongs to yesterday” It gives me The Family Jewels (her underrated debut album) vibes and I’m here for it. Not too thrilled we are still discussing that incident, but I do appreciate she mentions people just worrying about calling her crazy and not actually seeing the person suffering underneath. Anyways, what do we think? Any other Marina stans on here? Let’s talk Related:

  13. Well, the entire world has changed since we last heard about Marina's new song titled "Man's World." It's officially out now. Listen below. Thoughts, Exhale?! Sound off! Earlier: Godrina shared a snippet of a new song titled “I Don’t Wanna Live In A Man’s World Anymore” in her Instagram stories. Sounds like a Lana title eh? The song itself appears to be really pretty and ethereal. Do we have any Marina fans here in Exhale?
  14. Marina says she's been working on new music for the last year, and it's on its way soon! "So long to Saint Lucia, her majestic beauty and all her little friends. I’ve been extremely lucky to quarantine somewhere safe and peaceful for 2 weeks," she said. "Ready to go record the best album I can for you all. I’ve been writing it since last August. I’ll share some snippets soon." She also teased a bit of a new song titled "happy loner." Super curious to hear what Marina comes up with. I think most would agree Love + Fear was less captivating than FROOT. I'm kinda hoping she goes for something super fun and poppy again. What do you want Marina's new music do sound like, Exhale? 16. Marina Tweeted "You have to be mentally ill to be a cop." I whole-heartedly disagree with her. I don't love how she categorized all police officers into one group. As if ALL of them are racist murderers. There are good, honorable police officers out there with a moral compass. I am aware that this is a bad time to defend police officers, but I don't think it's a good idea to label a group of people no matter who they are. She's equating racism to being mentally ill. That's a slippery slope. The racism in the police force is apparent. The Black Lives Matter movement exists for a reason. There needs to be a seismic shift in how white people and white cops view and treat people of color. Period. George Floyd's unjust death caused outrage for a reason. But calling racist people mentally ill feels reckless to me. I wouldn't be surprised if her Tweet below was removed soon. Update: Including a much more thoughtful response from Marina that she posted on IG, too. Thoughts? Related:
  17. Marina Diamandis (Marina and the Diamonds) is getting heat for allegedly firing her manager whilst the manager was on maternity leave. There's no proof the manager who opened up about her experience is indeed about Marina, but fans believe the timing of everything lines up. I get that being let go whilst on maternity leave is NOT ideal. It's actually illegal to fire a woman on maternity leave if that's the actual reason. However, Marina shouldn't be bound to someone just cause they're on maternity leave if there's a better candidate. Thoughts, Exhale?
