Demi Lovato is getting backlash on the Internet (what's new? 🙄) for saying she feels a bit of survivor's guilt following DMX's overdose. She wonders why she didn't suffer the same fate as DMX following her overdose, but is grateful of course. I think it's weird the Internet is saying she's making DMX's tragedy about her. She was clearly asked about this during her interview with TMZ (why is she speaking with TMZ smh). Exhale, thoughts? Is Demi overstepping or is the Internet being dramatic? Sound off. Related:
UPDATE: DMX has passed away. “We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50-years-old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days. Earl was a warrior who fought till the very end. He loved his family with all of his heart and we cherish the times we spent with him. Earl’s music inspired countless fans across the world and his iconic legacy will live on forever," his family said in a statement. "We appreciate all of the love and support during this incredibly difficult time. Please respect our privacy as we grieve the loss of our brother, father, uncle and the man the world knew as DMX. We will share information about his memorial service once details are finalized.” Earlier: DMX suffered an OD Friday night at his home and is in grave condition, TMZ reports. DMX has a long history of substance abuse and has been to rehab several times. Super sad. Hope he pulls through.
