  1. To me, this is far worse than anything Marco Marco created. At first I thought the yellow fit with theme of the neon section, but it doesn't. It clashes. There was just no reason to add this catastrophe to POM, let alone the VMA's.
  2. The ringleader jacket is amazing but... I don't understand the fixation with Britney having a perfect body. So what if the Circus leotard was unflattering? A lot of costumes and styles throughout history haven't been flattering. Why does everything have to be **** to be memorable?
  3. What a difference between the original sketch and the real thing, eh?
  4. Yes! I hated those little booties on her. I don't think the costume was the problem, it was the little booties.
  5. I still love the original Circus costume. It looked like a REAL costume. Not just a leotard.
  6. Yes, I remember seeing that thread as well. Can't remember off hand what it was called.
  7. You're probably thinking of Jon Eardley... http://www.reuters.com/article/us-spears-idUSTRE53S04T20090429
  8. No, I've never seen any kind of official source that states what the issue is.
  9. I found an article about it...but at one point there was also video... http://www.x17online.com/2008/02/sam_admits_to_giving_brit_handful_of_pills
  10. So how does that work? Legally speaking? If Jamie has power over her medical decisions, as her conservator, what would happen if she tried to fight his decisions? On a side note...I doubt many of Britney's fans even consider the medical part...they're more concerned with her conservator inserting himself into her career than they are the personal issues.
  11. I wish I could find that video...so much from that time period has disappeared off the Internet. But yes, he freely admitted that he did it, but claimed it was medications prescribed to her by her own doctor -- something that Lynne failed to mention when she wrote her court declaration and then repeated the same claims in her book. I understand why she didn't mention it -- her goal was to obtain a restraining order. But her claims changed the tone of the story considerably and also resulting in a lawsuit from Lutfi (which, to be honest, I expected would be filed by him the moment I read her book).
  12. I understand the conservatorship may have been necessary at the start...because... And this is the part that fans get very riled up about, but I have to say it anyways... But back around January 2008 Britney had been prescribed certain medications by a new doctor. It was those medications that Sam Lutfi fully and openly admitted to crushing up and putting in her food because she wasn't taking them herself. (There used to be video of him talking about doing this on X17 or a similar site, but I can no longer find it.) As much as I believe that's a horrible way to distribute medications (due to messing with the time release, etc.) and because he was removing Britney's own autonomy over what went into her body...I imagine Jamie was faced with the exact same difficulties once he was in charge. I've read that it's common for people taking certain medications to refuse to take them. (For instance, my own mom, who suffers from Alzheimers, is one of those people!) However...I can't imagine being 34 years old, and as highly functioning as Britney is, and still have someone else have the power over that. That does seem like cruelty.
  13. I left this in another thread, but I'll leave it here, too...because it's important. Jamie Spears is the President of almost 15 different corporations...all of which Britney used to helm. Scroll down and look at the mailing address on all of them...The mail goes straight to Britney's financial manager (and former "Spears family spokesperson") Lou M. Taylor. I doubt Jamie even gets to read it before she does: https://www.corporationwiki.com/Tennessee/Brentwood/james-p-spears/43452728.aspx
  14. Is she allowed to say no to medication under the conservatorship? My guess would be "no." Jamie has all power over her medical decisions.
  15. She has a court appointed lawyer, Samuel D. Ingham, III. He's been with her since 2008. Theoretically, he's the person who would petition to end the c-ship if Britney chose to do so.
  16. 'Becoming a mother and being with my boys has made me so much more accepting of myself. I'm their mom, whatever. That has been a really big thing for me over these last few years.'
  17. Strangely, I'd never thought of it that way...but you're right. All of the, "I'm a mom now" talk came after that. Which makes sense.
  18. Britney helps Justin, again (Warning - the ad that runs before the video is audible and auto-play by default - turn down your speakers) Justin Timberlake was at TIFF yesterday for the documentary Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids. On the carpet, E!’s Marc Malkinasked JT about the only thing that matters where JT is concerned:Britney Spears. Because she made him. Here’s how it went down: http://www.eonline.com/videos/embed/252439 Funny he mentions headline news. Because I’ve seen no headlines about Justin’s film today. But a LOT of headlines about Justin and Britney. As usual. It’s his project, and she’s the main draw, the way it’s been his entire career. I mean, I get it. He was asked a question and he answered. But he was asked THAT question because she’s the most interesting part of him. Which he’s been coasting on now since before he straightened his hair. So go see Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, brought to you by Britney Spears.
