  1. Hello everyone I just read this essay about Britney that I think is very on point and enlightening. It talks about the difficulty for female artists to control their own narratives and also speaks about Beyoncé, Rihanna and Taylor Swift, with the main focus being Britney. I haven't seen it being shared here so I will just post the link: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2021/feb/19/britney-spears-pop-beyonce-taylor-swift-rihanna I hope you enjoy it. Share your thoughts! Much love, Paula
  2. @AmorProhibido Thank you so much for such kind and encouraging words, it was one of the sweetest feedbacks I ever had and it made my day I have a demo song with instrumental in my channel called "Moonlight". I also have "Quarantine", "Your soul", "Amazing" and "Bad in my skin" which are a capella. I have written so many songs and crafted the vocal melodies, literally thousands, I even thought of doing a capella album but I think people would get bored after a while, I really don't know. Your support really means a lot to me. If you enjoy them please consider subscribing to my channel. I will try to keep them coming in any way that I possibly can. @princessmimi I loved your song lyrics, they are poignant and hauntingly beautiful Keep writing your heart out! @bryceecyrb I loved your lyrics as well, love really hits hard when we're seventeen doesn't it? They were really moving and coming from a deep place. It would be great to read more from you. Have a lovely Saturday! Kisses**
  3. Thank you for your kind words, you are very sweet I understand that feeling so well, I've been writing for a really long time but only recently I started sharing my work in a public way. It takes a while to overcome insecurities and be exposed to the opinion of others. But I'm glad you felt ready to share these two beautiful pieces xD
  4. This is another beautiful song Axatc, I love your tone, very poetic Oh sorry, my kudos for AmorProhibido, I don't come here very often, I got confused lol
  5. Hello Alxatc I really liked the lyrics to your song, very touching and they seem pretty heartfelt. Good job Keep going!
  6. I really liked this song, I really can see it as pop smash Well done Crazybutitfeelsalright! I'm sharing with you today a very personal song that I wrote and I that I posted singing a capella on my youtube. It's called "Bad in my skin" and it's about feeling at war with your body and mind. I really hope you like it. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. The lyrics are in the description of the video. Thank you very much for your attention. Kisses** Paula
  7. Thank you so much for all the support Yes, I need to teach myself some digital studio stuff like Garage Band,.I will try it. soon. I have a song with an instrumental called "Moonlight" on my youtube channel but I still want to put some touches on it. I loved your lyrics "Howler Junkie", it sounds refreshing and new, I can definitely see it with a cool pop beat Thanks again for your kindness, really appreciated it. Kisses**
  8. Hello I'm a very prolific songwriter and have just published a book called "Heartbeat" on Amazon, which consists of poems and lyrics. I wanted to share you with you my song "Amazing", which is pretty passionate and intense. I wrote it when I was 23/24 years old and although I'm almost a decade older now it still ressonates with me in a way. "AMAZING" in the misty times In the darkest night I could feel your love Shining down so bright You give me hope to carry on That's why I don't care what they say anymore No one can see you like I do The best thing I ever had was you When I got you by my side I knew I could never want a man more in my life CHORUS This feeling you bring is so amazing That I just gotta, got to let it show And when you're touching me it makes me crazy And I just wanna, want you to know That boy I love you so From the first moment, the very first word You became my second skin, your heart became my blood To have you was all I could think of I didn't rest until I got you once and for all You have seen me at my best You have seen me at my worst Yes, you're not only down for the good rides You're in every single one CHORUS If I can have you I will have the strength I won't let the pain of the world get to me, not a chance Never thought I could love in this way But I can see God's brilliance as long as you stay CHORUS When you're touching me When you're holding me When you're with me When you're kissing me Boy you're moving me You are everything I need Everything to me In case you're wondering how this sounds like, I recorded an a capella version (I can't play any instruments yet sadly) on my youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVHU0mfD1uc I would love to hear your opinions! Thank you so much . Have a lovely and blessed day Paula**
  9. Hi DarkOut, thank you so much for such a positive and sweet response Yeah I guess we just have to make the most of what we have and keep moving forward, that's the only way we can evolve. I'll be posting new content in my youtube channel soon, I hope to see you there! Have a blessed day**
  10. My favorite is "Love again" as well. Very good song. And as a body of work "Future nostalgia" is very enjoyable and consistent cd throughout
  11. Thank so much you all for replying. Yes Strongest I would be interested to hear that podcast. Dirk, yes it's nice to read the same books as Britney. I also enjoyed The four agreements a lot. I watched "Stages" but it was many years ago and I don't remember all the details but yeah, Britney seems to be very in touch with her spirituality. I like when she says she believes everything happens for a reason and that she chooses to be happy. It's a good way of thinking. Burning candles can be very soothing and so are flowers, that she puts a lot in her Instagram. In her lingerie line she choose pastel colors, which also bring a sense of peace and tranquility. So overall I think it's inspiring to see her focused in her being and personal growth. I also do believe more music will be released eventually. Thank you for wishing me good luck in my projects, that means a lot and motivates me to keep working. RegularPepsi, that is the book by Paris Hilton right? As long as you enjoyed it and had fun that's what matters
  12. Yes Strongest I would be interested to hear that podcast. Thank you
  13. Hi Jordan I didn't see your comment. Thank you for the kind words. I just thought it would be nice to share it since we are all into this together. It's a bit daunting but I guess after long years of holding back I'm finally able to fight for my dreams and see what the reception is. Big kisses**
  14. Hi Rik how are you sweety? Thank you so much for replying to this thread and having the kindness to check out my song. I think you mean doing background vocals over my primary voice to make it multilayered is that it? I don't know how to do that but I can try to learn. I did intended it to be raw and not very polished and I feel like it's a snapshot of the uncertain times we live in. Roxxy thank you so much for the encouraging words and for making me feel brave. I have written thousands of songs since I was 14 up until now (I'm 32) and never really put myself out there because of fear so I've been taking baby steps in that direction. For anyone interested I have another song up on youtube called Moonlight (this one actually has an instrumental). I would like to record it again professionally but I think the main elements are there. If you can give me feedback on it as well I would appreciate a lot. I'm thinking maybe I will do some a acapella conceptual albums on youtube because I have so many songs that I need to bring to life in any way that I can. Also I uploaded my first youtube channel talking about how I'm holding up during this challenging times. I'm bad at editing, I'm just beginning to learn. If you'd like to hear me rambling in footage that gets messy sometimes this is your opportunity lol I love you guys so much from the bottom of my heart! Thank you. I will look forward to any opinions, advice and impressions on your side. Big kisses, Paula**
  15. Hello my name is Paula, I'm new to this forum. I'm a writer and singer from Portugal and I recently wrote a song called "Quarantine" about my emotions, thoughts and feelings in these turbulent times we are living in. I don't play any instrument as of now so I decided to just record it acapella on my pocket recorder and upload it to youtube. It's very raw and there's surely room for improvement if I was ever wish to release it in the future (I would need an actual instrumental of course lol). For me it's just a simple way of expressing myself and release some steam. I hope you can relate and enjoy it. Let me know what you think please. Sending you lots of love!
