No Jamie is a narcissistic parent and that's that. That man has never had "good intentions" involved when it comes to Britney, not when she was a child, not when she was managing her own life, and certainly not when the conservatorship was put into place. Y'all really need to stop feeding into the "oh but he's her dad, he couldn't possibly have created the conservatorship for money!" Bad parents exist and he's one of them.

It is a bop, I will admit. Cringy but catchy. I feel like that sentence would be positive if it was true, but it's not. She didn't "get through" 2007, she had her rights taken away and was subjected to countless instances of abuse that she's still enduring all these years later. The references are really cringy, especially since literally everyone makes the same ones over and over again. Can the GP just agree to retire the whole "Britney in 2007" s.hit? I find it very hard to believe the conservatorship was ever put in place with "good intentions", especially since Jamie is a classic nparent. And no matter how important and beneficial dancing is for her, it was still too soon. She needed an actual break and a chance to get away from it all.

Honestly, all of the people that I really wanted to comment on the situation have stayed silent and I'm at the point where I just don't care about their support anymore. Lady Gaga was one of them. As many have already said, for someone who is an incredibly outspoken activist, her silence is very telling. Same with Ariana Grande, who has posted Britney related things in the past. It's really disheartening to see celebrities like them, along with Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift choosing not to say anything about the situation. Makes them seem really disingenuous and inauthentic. Also the stupid "I did it first" or whatever post with Madonna about Lil Nas X. Like you can find the time to be messy and make a "joke", but still say nothing about #FreeBritney. Okay then. The naive part of me wants to believe they're working on something behind the scenes but I seriously doubt it.

I mean I get that but I don't blame her. Jamie obviously has power and getting ambushed like that moments before a performance would freak anyone out. Honestly, I just really appreciate that she's coming forward now despite everyone cancelling her and coming for her when she spoke out a few years ago.
