  1. so basically i would say it's 2004-2008ney, when the world turned their back on her and began to destroy her self-esteem. She always seemed way too human for the music industry and that's what makes her stand out from other pop stars in my opinion. The hits were iconic of course, but compared to other pop stars there was always this great mystery surrounding her. If you dig a bit deeper, look at her interviews and her unreleased music, you see what went on behind that manufactured image. Those years of her life showed she was much more intelligent and perceptive than what she's given credit for, and I admire the fact that she fought so hard for so long. She truly is the original doll and I hope some day she gets to tell her story, and we get to hear it from her mouth and in her own words.
  2. It's amazing that this has finally blown up, I hear you. But I'm not talking about people who were simply unaware of the conservatorship. Ofc you allow for growth, you have to. and they did a good job of keeping it under wraps. What I am talking about is the people that broke this woman down. Britney was under an incredibly amount of scrutiny for making even the smallest mistake. More than other celebrities It's just a lot of hypocrisy
  3. like y'all haven't been laughing at this woman's mental health and **** shaming her for her entire career... okai such a double standard for women in the industry
  4. well they're both good, but for me the transition into 911 adds something special to the track, it's an iconic moment of chromatica britney's 911 does have rapney though which is like bonus points cause of the flavour
  5. and i kinda love that ANTI really cemented Riri's ability to create a body of work before that she was mostly known as a singles girl even though I'll always go to bat for Rated R and i **** with that 2009 flavour
  6. the 90s girls just had this artistic flavour where you could tell they wrote to make albums and not just individual tracks.. alanis, tori amos, bjork JLP is still an amazing record
  7. not this when u gon pull it slander, she gave us a cultural reset and when we needed her most she vanished favorite: baby boy cuz it gives me that mid 2000s britney flavour that only hardcore stans know about. like the emotional complexity or whateva least favorite: that wretched collab with k-fed
  8. were there any specific examples you thought about when making this post? they might be getting toxic cuz brit's not putting out new music and so they have nothing to talk about. losers r bored it's always when they lose a queen they lose the screws in them heads
  9. i mean what can u say the ***** is killing it personally billie's just not my bag but there seems to be a lot of heart in her music and i can respect that
  10. i would say so, but it's not without its flaws. there's some great material on bionic that is overlooked because of it being labeled a flop. and we britney stans know that feeling especially when the singles from glory didn't smash the way that they absolutely could have birds of prey, stronger than ever, lift me up, elastic love... makes for a very dark album and I love that variety for her catalog. i can understand the gripes people have with it, it requires some editing and it definitely had a gaga feel to it..but you know what? not everyone is going to like that 2010 flavour

you won, and she chose you.. and she loved you and she's gone...

  13. personally, i love "new Britney". she's clearly in a much better place than she was a few years ago. a lot of fans' expectations of her are somewhat unreasonable. she's proved that she can still have great music videos (Slumber Party and original Make Me video) and she's had some pretty good performances in the past 2 years (BBMAs, ABC's New Years, PoM, iHeart Radio). vocalney is also making a comeback. glory had a lot of potential, and it wasn't a total flop. maybe if Make Me was released with a proper music video instead of that radio disney mess we got, and Slumber Party had better promo, there could have been a third or even fourth single. i mean. all things considered, even 15 years after her prime, Britney is doing well. certainly better than a lot of her contemporaries like Christina or Justin, even some of the top artists now. though i can see where you're coming from also: Britney does not have a "replacement". certainly not Taylor Swift
