I improved the "Make Me..." music video

Since the music video of Make Me... is a hot mess, I decided to improve it. :queenflopga:

What I did:

  • I ripped the video from VEVO (1080p @4400 kbps*), the music video audio from iTunes (@256 kbps)
  • I removed all the ridiculous laughs of Britney's friends and other noise, replaced by the song (M4A @256 kbps purchased from iTunes)
  • I got rid of most of the ads, especially the prominent ones on the TVs
  • I cropped out all the timestamps forgotten by the useless editing team of this useless director (6 ******* scenes in which G-Eazy appears!)

This remains one of Britney's worst videos but you might cringe less when watching it. :tbh:

Way better if you want to show the music video to friends.  :explainlol:

I don't think it is linked to that. VEVO has been changing back and forth between files with a video @4400 kbps and @5000 kbps for about a year. But they were converting all the videos with the same bitrate. Now it seems they are switching back and forth depending on some parameters (I doubt it is related to the quality of the files; I think they analyse the video and decide if it needs 4400 or 5000 [even though 5000 is not even enough for 1080p...).

I don't think it's them uploading the files, probably uncompressed version goes to VEVO.com and they convert it with an algorithm that "judges" what bitrate is needed for a video. Then it gets uploaded to vevo.com and youtube. I think vevo.com used to have better quality compared to youtube but's its pretty close now (both crap tbh).
