  1. After 19 Years The Ellen Show has ended. Are you going to miss it? ‘When We Started This Show, I Couldn’t Say “Gay”’ - Ellen
  2. When Ellen came out, her first public relationship was with Anne Heche, people didn't know why they broke up (Anne went to a guy), Ellen sadly became the bitter ex.. And Anne was blacklisted from her Hollywood, due to regular promo going to Ellen, being banned on her show and even her name, Ellen made sure Her ex was unsuccessful to secure work as an actress. According to Anne, the reason why they broke up was basically two different principles in life, Ellen wanted to rule the world, become the face of the gay community especially lesbians (sadly she did), and become a gazillionaire.. Anne just wanted love and not the ego trip. She pokes fun at her current wife, Cos anne said she was driving a Porsche and now she's married to a Portia (Referencing her wife Portia De Rossi).. Anne feels safer knowing she's going back to Africa with the gorillas where she belongs.
  3. According to Deadline, Ellen DeGeneres told Savannah Guthrie on Today that she is still surprised by attacks on her and reports of her show’s workplace environment as “toxic,” but that it was not the reason for her decision to end her long-running daytime talk show. In the sit down, conducted on the set of DeGeneres’ show, Guthrie asked DeGeneres if she felt she was “being canceled.” DeGeneres addressed social media negativity around her personally, which was followed months later by allegations of a toxic work environment on the show. “I mean, I really don’t understand it. I still don’t understand it,” DeGeneres said. “It was too orchestrated. It was too coordinated. And you know, people get picked on, but for four months straight for me, and then for me to read in the press about a toxic work environment when all I have ever heard from every guest that comes on the show is what a happy atmosphere this is and what a happy place it is.” News of her ending her talk show broke yesterday, but she stressed that it had nothing to do with all the allegations. “And also I have to say — if nobody else was saying it — it was really interesting because I’m a woman, and it did feel very misogynistic.” A rep for DeGeneres said that she was referring to negativity in social media and other coverage.
  4. In 2003, The ellen show premiered became the hot spot for celebs to promote and gab.. The show followed its sister shows. The Rosie o' Donnell show 1996-2002 and the one season spin off The Caroline Rhea show, hosted by Sabrina' s Aunt hilda herself, that was cancelled and thanks to finding Nemo which resurrected Ellen's career NBC offered the show to Ellen which she has hosted since 2003. Unfortunately in 2020 a huge scandal was revealed that Ellen treated her employees badly, basically ruined her image and unfortunately the shows ratings basically didn't recover. The series ends 3 years earlier of the 2024 renewal end, obviously Warner and NBC will give Ellen a big paycheck due to the early ending. The 2018 renewal was for 8 seasons is rumored to be around the 250 million ball park, so it's a big severance pay for Ellen. She claimed the cancellation had nothing to do with the rumors in her interview. She said it's simply not a challenge anymore to her. 'It was very hurtful to me. I mean, very. But if I was quitting the show because of that, I wouldn’t have come back this season. So, it’s not why I’m stopping but it was hard because I was sitting at home, it was summer, and I see a story that people have to chew gum before they talk to me and I’m like, “Okay, this is hilarious.” Then I see another story of some other ridiculous thing and then it just didn’t stop. And I wasn’t working, so I had no platform, and I didn’t want to address it on [Twitter] and I thought if I just don’t address it, it’s going to go away because it was all so stupid.' She stated that the previous stories were stupid and ridiculous.

  7. Update: Ellen DeGeneres reportedly wants out of her show. She could be replaced by James Corden. “She knows she can be tough at times,” an insider says, “but believes she works hard and is extremely creative and that it’s a privilege to work for her and be around her.” Earlier: Ellen DeGeneres wrote an apology letter amidst the controversy about the poor working conditions on set of her show. “On day one of our show, I told everyone in our first meeting that ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ would be a place of happiness — no one would ever raise their voice, and everyone would be treated with respect. Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case,” DeGeneres wrote. “I could not have the success I’ve had without all of your contributions. My name is on the show and everything we do and I take responsibility for that. Alongside Warner Bros., we immediately began an internal investigation and we are taking steps, together, to correct the issues. As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again,” she continued. Executive producer Ed Glavin is set to exit his role imminently. Accusations include intimidation and racism on set. Below is Ellen's entire note:
  8. Katy Perry came to Ellen DeGeneres' defense amidst the talk show hosts' imploding career scandal. There's allegations Ellen's work environment was toxic. Ex employees claim they were intimidated and faced racism. Ellen issued an apology and said she was "committed to ensuring this does not happen again," but the damage is done. Katy spoke out: "I know I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience besides my own but I want to acknowledge that I have only ever had positive takeaways from my time with Ellen & on the @theellenshow," wrote Perry. "I think we all have witnessed the light & continual fight for equality that she has brought to the world through her platform for decades." She added, "Sending you love & a hug, friend @TheEllenShow ❤️." Thoughts, Exhale? Related:
