  1. For the second time, I've seen a list of debut albums by "pop girls" that combined The Fame and The Fame Monster went quantifying sales for Lady Gaga's debut, which got me wondering if this is a common thought, or just an optimistic view by Gaga's. The thinking seems to go something like: "It's clearly an extension of her debut (hence the name) and in some cases, both The Fame + Monster were sold together." This obviously isn't super important, but just a few thoughts: First, there seems to be a misunderstanding of what an EP is. Yes, it stands for "extended play," but the name isn't referring to an "extension" of any particular work. The term comes from the vinyl era to differentiate between singles/45s (which only contained 2 songs; the main song and a B-side) and LP (also know as "long play" or "long playing," which we would consider a full album). Usually they have 4-5 tracks. The format was much more frequently used in the UK and didn't take off in the US until the digital era. Honestly, to classify The Fame Monster as an EP at all is a stretch. It has double the amount of songs of most EPs, and its running time of over 34 mins is very long for an EP. As an example, Dirty Mind by Prince is considered his 3rd album, and it had 8 songs and a running time of 30 mins. In fact, The Fame Monster violates the UK Official Chart Company's definition of EP, which restricts the running time to just 25 mins. Yes, The Fame and The Fame Monster were frequently bundled together, so it's also sometimes classified as a re-release of The Fame. This obviously boosted sales of The Fame, and those sales should absolutely be counted for Gaga's debut effort. It's a clever marketing tactic, and both albums were likely to benefit. But from what I gather, when the video below tabulates these statistics, it's counting total TF and TFM sales and adding them together, which means the bundled editions would count as two copies of her debut. Also, this idea that it's a continuation of her work is an interesting one. That still doesn't make it the same album. Meat Loaf's debut Bat out of Hell sales are never combined with his album Bat out of Hell II: Back into Hell. Janelle Monae's multiple Metropolis concept album series are never bundled together, even if the first release was an EP. Gaga herself called the album "conceptually different," and referred to it more as the ying and yang. She even said she felt that re-releases were a disservice to music artists because "it's artists sneaking singles onto an already finished piece of work in an effort to keep the album afloat." I've also just not seen anyone else have any doubt that TFM was her follow-up album. The Grammy Awards nominated each album for "Album of the Year" in separate years (2010/2011). I'm also a little dubious about the sale numbers listed in the video, even if you count TF and TFM together. The figures I've seen look more like 22.5 million worldwide (14.3 million for TF and 8.3 million for TFM). Anyway, sorry for the long post on something so non-important Just confused that this has happened more than once.
  2. I'm staying with my bestie Jade in Anaheim ☺️☺️☺️ !!! And we both LOVE old school Gaga music videos... We have been binge watching her videos.... Marry the Night I never really paid attention to how relatable and personal that video and song including lyrics really are personal and relatable. The beat is super polarizing. One of RedOne's best productions. I have a track I produced off my EP Thankful Heaux titled Take You For a Ride that was inspired by Marry the Night! ☺️☺️☺️!!! G.U.Y. This video is underrated!!!! SOOOOO iconic. I really loved Artpop era as messy as it was sometimes. The song makes me feel gay AF. And I love that. 🌈!! Alejandro Must I say any more of this absolute iconic Pop gem? 💎 It's fabulous, darling. 💋!!! From the looks, to the choreo, to the controversy! We stan.... This was her Madonna impression at its finest and we stan even if Madonna called her reductive ☺️!! Telephone 💋💋💋💋 Judas Iconic. Controversial. ✝️❌✝️ Poker Face Gotta mention a classic! This video has so much early/mid 2000s energy loves it! 💋❤️💋!!! And of course I have to mention her new video Hold My Hand off Top Gun: Maverick. What's your favorite Gaga video and why? @Stefani @Slayer @Urbanney @BUWYGF
  3. ARTPOP the official 3rd studio album by Lady Gaga 2013, would be the year of gaga hate train, and as this video points out some of it is on her, being puked on, like demi Lovato said, it was the closest thing to glamorizing an eating disorder for ART. The album was meant to bridge the performer and tne fan, but it was very much messy roll out, and chart battles. Katy Perry vs. Lady gaga and gaga got called out for tactics by Billboard. FYI she lost to Roar.. The nude lady gaga photos on this album, the censored titles. The edited version gave her the Janet Jackson treatment. X dreams is the edited title of Well you know. Jewels N ***** was you know a retitled track. And of course the controversial R..Kelly track, even in 2013 fro the singke cover, to what some described was her datkest and disturbing video to date ( a huge torrent thing was gonna happen, but as we know it was decided for the best to be cancelled, Terry Richardson unfortunately got huge allegations and interscope felt it was best and given both critically and commercially the luke warm response to Artpop and brand gaga, best not to release it avoid all controversy). He touches the albums thenes are what you expect from gaga, and the really only stand out is the track Gypsy. And he admits on the surface it's not a flop, but given it was a lady gaga album..it was a flop compared to her previous albums, he also touches for a month it seemed fine, But one fateful Friday, in December and the 13th to be exact , that would be the day Artpop had a premature death by the self titled release of Beyonce, that would reshape how music is released now, especially in the imternet digital era. He touches after artpop, she went to acting and branched out musically to set her apart from her peers, winding jazz fans and actually proving that she will nlt be combined as she reminds us I'm a classically trained musician who does pop Music. Her return to pop would come in 2020, and honestly, she could have proven critics right that she was a flash in the pan, but she came at the beginning of fandoms, and that's proven ride or die.. Internet fandoms is actually proven to be a key element in the Music industry today.. Existed well on for decades, but the internet fandoms like little monsters, proven loyalty is real @Jordan Miller
  4. Recently, I’ve seen many Lady Gaga fan pages on YouTube and Instagram claiming that because The Fame Monster is an EP and a continuation of The Fame that the combined figures count as the sales of her debut album. We’ve all known Britney’s debut is the highest selling amongst her contemporaries and no other female has come close to those numbers with their debut. It’s pretty laughable that these stans will do the most to inflate their faves’ numbers Do you think Lady Gaga’s sales for TF and TFM should be combined or are they two separate albums? I’ve always considered them separate albums and the whole idea of an EP is incredibly cheap and tacky.
  5. I’m living for this mess, hopefully it’s true ‘cause I need my bich Onika to end Gaga. Now I understand Nicki’s Trollz line: “You’re talking all that s/hit but you ain’t saying CACA?” It’s probably untrue though because why would Gaga ask this dump question and why wouldn’t Azealia accept this offering? Taking shots at The Queen of Rap it’s the way you keep up with the headlines otherwise it’s crickets for them.
  6. What's up, Exhale This is the fourth issue of the Deep Cuts Series, where y'all are invited to talk about songs that are true hidden gems in popstars' catalogs. Who's up for discussion now? Mother Monster, of course: Lady Gaga It was incredibly difficult to narrow down my favorite deep cuts of hers, so as the honorable mentions but I'll give it a shot. PS... In the first comment, you will find the first three entries (Ri-Rih's might have flopped a bit) Boys, Boys, Boys Dance in the Dark Heavy Metal Lover So Happy I Could Die The Queen Speechless Bloody Mary Gypsy Venus Starstruck (ft. 8. Lady Gaga has a new song on the way titled "Hold My Hand" for the new Top Gun movie – the track drops in May. Thoughts, Exhale?!
  9. Serious and genuine question. I just found out new generations are denouncing Born This Way as a LGBTQ+ anthem because ''you're not born'' with your ***uality but you choose it. I don't get it. I'm listening to the song right now and 11 years later, it still sounds just... Be yourself and don't worry about it. Is this another reach by SJW? https://www.google.com/search?q=born+this+way+problematic I had no clue this song went from being an anthem to problematic wtf
  10. Heavy Metal Lover is certainly a favourite BTW deep cut amongst Gaga’s little monsters. It hadn’t been performed since 2011 at the born this way ball. Fans are in dire need for it to be resurfaced at a live show. What other songs do you expect to be performed?

  16. Musical savant, fashion maven, provocateur, philanthropist and award-winning actress Lady Gaga SHINES on the January edition of DEADLINE Hollywood. Is there anything she CAN’T do? The Oscar-nominated star discusses personal demons she faced while playing Patrizia Reggiani in House of Gucci, as well as patriarchy and ***ism in the entertainment industry.
  17. The Independent named Beyonce and Madonna as some of the worst musician actors. They praised Cher and Gaga for their acting chops. Exhale, thots? Beyoncé Think of Beyoncé’s acting credits — Obsessed, The Pink Panther, Dreamgirls — as an act of charity for the human race, a way of telling us that, hey, she’s not totally perfect. Try as she might, Beyoncé has never been the greatest of actors, with a wooden energy similar to Madonna. Thankfully, she seems to have stopped trying to be a thespian of late. Madonna It’s become a bit of a cliche to remark on Madonna’s inability to act, but it’s also not strictly untrue. She’s decent in A League of Their Own, Evita and Dangerous Game, but otherwise tends to be stiff and detached from her surroundings in everything else. Lady Gaga One of the great pleasures of last year’s House of Gucci was that Lady Gaga gave a real capital-p performance. Unafraid to go very big, Gaga used her role as a convicted — though naturally glamorous — murderer to showcase her range. She also proved that, a few years after her Oscar nominated turn in A Star Is Born, she wasn’t just good at playing pop stars similar to herself. Cher Cher is the ultimate pop star turned actor, incapable of not delivering in spades. Moonstruck got her an Oscar — playing a drifting widow finding unexpected new love — but she’s similarly brilliant as a flamboyant single mother in 1990’s Mermaids, as a nuclear power plant worker in Silkwood, and as one of the Witches of Eastwick. It’s a travesty she didn’t make more movies in the wake of her Academy Award.
