  1. On February 11, 2011, Lady Gaga released Born This Way, the lead single off her second (third?) studio album of the same name. It was written by Lady Gaga herself and Jeppe Laursen, which co-produced the track along with Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow. It went #1 on the BBH100, Dance Club Songs, Mainstream Top 40 and Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, as well as more than 25 international charts, and reached Top 10 in another handful. Madonna wasn't particularly thrilled about the song, because of the similarities to her 1989 hit Express Yourself saying in one interview: "When I heard ['Born This Way'] on the radio ... I said, 'that sounds very familiar' ... It felt reductive." and on another one: "I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song'. I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting." In 2012 she did a mashup of the songs for her MDNA Tour. Nick Knight directed the music video for Born This Way, which was released on February 28
  2. Hey Exhale, so this video is coming out at a pretty weird time considering the tragedy going on in Gaga's life right now. I actually wasn't sure if I should post it (which btw has been scheduled for today for a few weeks, I actually went back into the video to edit in a blurb about her poor doggos.) Hopefully it'll bring a little comedy to Little Monsters. My heart legit hurts for Gaga. In the video, I track track down a pack of Gaga's Chromatica Oreos (they were hard to find in Vegas let me tell you), unpackaged and eat them. On camera. It's a low-key messy video but I wanted to feel like Trisha Paytas for a day. And I mean that in the best way. She's hilarious and legit thriving. Have YOU tried these cookies? Looking forward to hearing what you think of this.
  3. UPDATE: Gaga’s dogs have been found! “A woman brought the dogs to the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station, just northwest of downtown, around 6 p.m, said Capt. Jonathan Tippet, commanding officer of the department’s elite Robbery-Homicide Division. Lady Gaga’s representative and detectives went to the station and confirmed that they were the dogs, Tippet said. The singer is currently in Rome to film a movie. The woman who dropped off the dogs appears to be “”uninvolved and unassociated” with Wednesday night’s attack, Tippet said.” Esrlier: Lady Gaga's dog walker was reportedly targeted by thieves in Hollywood Wednesday night around 10 pm, TMZ reports. The man was shot and the gunmen stole her two French bulldogs named Koji, and Gustav. Gaga is offering $500,000 for the return of her dogs, "no questions asked." The dog walker is expected to fully recover. Gaga is currently in Rome filming a new movie. Anyone who has the dogs can use this email -- KojiandGustav@gmail.com -- to retrieve the reward. I feel really sorry for Gaga, her dogs, and her good friend. She's gone through a lot, and 2021 is only beginning.
  4. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMe2nYkRj It's also #1 trending on Genius's song page because of this video.
  5. Kelly Clarkson covered Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" on her daytime talk show and nailed it. Her vocals are everything. I can't wait for her next album! Thoughts on Kelly's cover, Exhale? Sound off.
  6. Gaga has a lot of unreleased music. A lot are from before The Fame, and during The Fame era, but there are also fan classics that were popular from the TFM, BTW, and ARTPOP eras. 8. I didn't realize this fit so well, but it sounds amazing. Gimme More on Gaga's Replay instrumental is just... impeccable!
  9. I recently made a video about my interview with Lady Gaga during the Cheek To Cheek era. You could tell how much she genuinely loves Tony Bennett. I had a sneaking suspicion they were making a second jazz album together, but I didn't anticipate the announcement would be coupled with some sad news: Mr. Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. There's a new article on AARP about it. Below is an excerpt: Honestly, this legit breaks my heart. 😢 Related:
  10. On February 1st, 2014, Lady Gaga attended the seventh concert of Britney's Las Vegas residency, Britney: Piece of Me. At 6:49 Gaga tweeted to be on her way to see the show, to which Britney replied by asking her to meet her backstage before the show started. At the end of the show, Lady Gaga tossed some flowers on stage before leaving and Britney blew her a kiss. Gaga also revealed James Spears gave them homemade BBQ #Iconic #FreakLikeMe
  11. Shania Twain shared nothing but praise for Lady Gaga. In a new interview with Billboard, Shania called Lady Gaga "the most unique, I think, music talents of this generation," before pondering, I wonder what kind of dream she has at night. She does so many unusual, remarkable, artistic, unexpected things in her videos, in her live performances, her art direction, her fashion. One thing that stays consistent though, is her voice." She added: "Then she gets an acting role, starring role, in what would be a huge success, not only as an actress, but as a singer songwriter," Shania continued. "A Star Is Born was a huge box office hit and Lady Gaga won the Oscar for best original song for 'Shallow.' This is a classic. This song will be around in generations to come. No doubt." The way she spilt It sounds like what a stan or a publicist would say Do we agree with Miss Shania y'all?
  12. This warms my heart. Lady Gaga gave Australia a little shout-out for handling the pandemic exceedingly well. So well that the gays can party in the club and dance to Chromatica. We all know she literally made Chromatica so gays can bop in the club, so this is super fun to see it finally happening. Exhale, are you partying to Chromatica yet? Or are you still in lockdown? Sound off. Related:
  13. To celebrate Lady Gaga singing the National Anthem at the Biden-Harris Inauguration on Wednesday, and because I was disheartened at some of the comments in Exhale's Gaga x Higher Ground Award thread, I decided to create a video taking a trip down memory lane. I interviewed Gaga when she and Tony Bennett released their #1 jazz album, 'Cheek To Cheek.' In this video, I open up about how the interview happened, what it was like meeting her and include the entire interview for you to listen to. It's super fun to hear Gaga's voice say "breatheheavy.com" I asked Gaga where she sees herself in five years (fun fact, it's been five years since the interview), what she considers success and if the rumor about a collaboration with Britney Spears was actually happening. Her answers might surprise you! Exhale, I'd love for you to give this a watch. It's a super fun convo we had together and I'm very grateful to have had this opportunity. Hopefully there's a followup one day Let me know what you think! And as always, any love you can show the video would be greatly appreciated!!
  14. This is the official Lady Gaga Inauguration thread. Please post all your comments regarding Gaga's performance here. Watch Gaga's performance here:
  15. Ahead of Martin Luther King's Day, Gaga gave a speech about acceptance. She's truly an angel 😢
  16. So Azealia Banks appears to have bought some Chromatica soap and gave the below reviews. It appears she is unhappy with the 10 boxes of Chromatica soap she bought
  17. In what can only be explained as a rare thing. In 2009, Britney spears caused major uproar over if u seek Amy, however it's coming to light Lady gaga did the same thing with Poker Face and there was no outraged at all. Listen carefully with headphones during the break down chant Po po po ker face low keys turns into F f f four letter word her face. Basically this slipped the radar and most people are saying how did this slip, many people pointed out Prince's 1984 b side to let's go crazy Said the same thing but because it was so fast, nobody knew that he said. F so pretty, you and me. Erotic city come alive. We can d til the dawn. So,people are asking how come, Brtney was attacked. Someone pointed out. She was a teen when she started. the others were adults, which is why the others wasn't held to such standards.
  18. (I don't know if Breatheheavy has the same rules as GagaDaily about posting links to unreleased songs. @Jordan Miller What is your policy on this?) I won't post the link to be safe, but just search on Google "Lady Gaga We Could Be (Lovers) dbree" and go to the first link. (It is not related to "Enigma" from Chromatica.) ---- Although the song is stated as being from A Star Is Born, there is some debate on where it is from: 1. Original LG5 - It has the darker RedOne-esque sound originally being teased for that album. 2. A Star Is Born - (Spoiler warning if you haven't seen the movie.) 3. Early Chromatica - DJWS was originally a prominent producer on Chromatica, and the song does have some similarities to his sound.
