What exactly is wrong with a nothing to see here/manjobi approach? It's possible to acknowledge that there's healing to be done, especially considering what she's been through without scrutinizing her about it. Like in what way would that even help anyone? Explain logically what the 'best position by fans' is and how that would be conductive to anything.

I think the problem here is that some fans see Britney as an extension of themselves and project on her. They feel embarassed and self conscious of how she looks to the public, while she isn't bothered because she's healing. It's a difficult process. What matters is her beautiful heart, that's what attracted her die hard fan base in the first place. But some of them want it on their terms, and that's beside the point unfortunately.
