  1. Everyone knows she was robbed for BNA, but I’m grateful she at least snagged that one. I’d bet that’s something she’s most proud of as an artist...”Grammy-winning” has such a nice ring to it
  2. Charlie's always been a hottie, but yeah the shorts do look a little empty
  3. I'm in the minority and as time has gone by, I've grown to love the video. I remember it coming out while I was working at a summer camp and trying desperately to get it to play on the shoddy camp internet She doesn't so storyline videos very often, so I thought it was cute and the story line itself was (mostly) well done
  4. Ugh, I remember being DEVASTATED when I found out it was getting an Anime video treatment. Obvi she was in no condition for a music video, but damn what a wasted opportunity. Almost no one in the GP remembers this video even exists, so I think that just goes to show you how much 'impact' it had. But the way BTI still nabbed her a Dance Club Songs #1 and just missed the top 40 without a proper video/promo of any kind also goes to show how amazing of a song it was!
  5. It was my favorite song of the album...its almost like a Waking Up in Vegas pt II and could have been a cool tie-in somehow with WUIV, idk. I think it could have been a good idea as a 4th single choice at least, considering Save As Draft did nothing.
  6. This whole project was adorable, but I never liked the song and thought it was an odd career move. And then shortly after this she did chained up *** play in a video for a song with a literal curse word in the title, I can’t
  7. What U See (Is What U Get) - starting her tradition of kissing off haters/the media (but in a very cute/respectful Britney way) Break The Ice - I still think this is one of the most perfect pop songs and has aged well Slumber Party - The production, the hook, the ad-libs, the ***, the fact that she still served this quality 18 years into her career Honorable Mention: Overprotected - This hit at a perfect time when I was a teenager and felt overprotected/angsty + its a pop masterpiece EDIT: I am so happy to see so much BTI love I always thought I was in the minority with loving that song so much
  8. One of the best? No way. Even most of her Femme Fetale Tour performances were better than that...almost anyone who I’ve seen watch it (who is not a big fan like me) thinks it’s terrible. But! I LOVE the choreo..I thought it was so creative and matched the song great, she just had almost no energy and wasn’t stable. And I appreciate the performance way more than the GP does because good or bad it’s still iconic and a key turning point in her career - which eventually set her up for possible the biggest pop comeback ever
  9. a simple Google search and you'll find a treasure trove of the President's racism - its way too much to review for you here. One of the biggest examples was that he told 4 sitting members of our Congress who are women of color [and citizens] to go back to their country I voted for Obama in 2008/2012 and I don't think he was a perfect President, but to compare him in any way to our current occupant of the White House is kinda laughable IMO. There are countless scandals that the President has set off and one of the worst things he's done is sown division amongst an already divided country here. US politics can be hard to explain too someone not familiar, but for a lot of Democrats Biden either wasn't their first choice or they wanted a 'safe' candidate who they thought would definitely beat the President, so we got stuck with him. In a country with a 2-party system, sometimes you have to choose between two not so ideal candidates, and I just think people need to be realistic about comparing records & avoiding false equivalencies/ I think if you compare the Presiden'ts resume vs. Biden's of everything they have done or been accused of, there's not really much of a comparison. I don't think its a stretch to say the current President is dangerous for our country's democracy & stability, which in turn affects the rest of the world
  10. I'll be forever grateful for Wave, it's probably my favorite song period from her - I didnt like it at first, but after a few good listens the production takes you away..Mike Sabath did awesome for her. An odd choice as a re-booted first single though, honestly. Genetics is really fun too and I could see a really hot music video for it (..likely not to happen though ) Most of the other songs I thought were a little too cheesy/silly for this point in career..I know that's somewhat part of her schtick, but I'm not sure that I see a collective artistic growth in her work.
  11. She really has served some of the best pure pop over the last couple of years & I think she's beginning to come into her own vibe as far as an overall performing artist. I think maybe the current issue is the GP isn't really checking for pure bubblegum pop right now and it doesn't fit in much with whats 'hot'/on the radio. And by default, she gets niched into the LGBT world because of her identity unfortunately. Maybe she will strike up something real groundbreaking & eye-catching soon and get some GP attention...hope so! She deserves
  12. Thanks Jordan - I’ve been a casual reader since when I was in college and around when Blackout came out. I’ll never forget checking this site (and a couple of others) for updates around that time - desperately hoping we would get a Break The Ice video...riding along for her comeback, etc. I couldn’t get enough and that time along with this website helped turned me into a legit stan for life. Cheers!!
  13. I’m usually really late to finding good music after it’s released but recently I’ve been hooked on Meghan Trainor’s “Wave”. Mike is a great vocalist and adds the extra umph (his subtle ad-libs in the back are amazing) - I love the fun but serious vibe, the way she sings & captures the emotion so well...this deserved more, a work of art
  14. Thanks I did join a while ago but have mainly a lurker since - excited to participate more now with the Army
