  1. Don’t worry I know you’re not shading because it’s true, my old upscales were too sharpened and there were some artifacts on Britney. You’ve totally right as I used old versions of Topaz AI (VEAI and Gigapixel AI) so this thread and the video are old and I’m planning to fix all problems with newer upscales. Now that I’ve upgraded everything, the quality is now more natural especially on my latest videos: PS: the AI may always make some artifacts due to a poor quality source, there’s almost no fixes as the AI couldn’t guess faces (unlike Remini which can guess how a face would look but could make also artifacts or create an artificial face). Indeed YouTube compress (a lot) the videos, it’s so frustrating especially when a video have a film grain effect like My Prerogative or If U Seek Amy. But yeah I agree, it’s better to watch the DVD rips or ProRes Masters on TV which is able to do real time upscaling since they are the official videos, mine are edited due to copyrights so yeah the Official videos are ofc superior than my edits. If your TV have a built-in AI processor to upscale in real time videos, then it’s better than Topaz AI (which I use) because Topaz runs on a computer with the GPU of the computer and takes ages to upscale a single 4 minutes videos, while the TV have a separate AI Processor which is designed for real-time AI upscaling, I think some Samsung TVs have that feature which is pretty cool!
  2. Because I found the DVD version a little bit weird in terms of colors, I found the same problem with Overprotected Darkchild (pinky tint while the real tint is more orange, we can see that on a screen behind Britney on Hold It Against Me). For Stronger, the Director’s Master ( https://www.josephkahn.com/project/7784/britney-spears) don’t have too much of green tint and seems like more blue tint than the DVD version, that’s why I made the change. But I’m planning to remake another remaster of Stronger with better editing and better quality as I updated Topaz AI softwares (the quality is far better now). Actually, it doesn’t really highlight things the director didn’t want shinning, because those things are already there on the original videos I use for upscaling. I always use ProRes Masters or DVD VOB Masters, the AI software will not "create" details but use all information of the video to redraw everything in the final upscaled resolution. The details were already there on the ProRes Master (skin imperfections for example) but upscaled in 4K with AI will make them more noticeable as the resolution is higher, that’s all. The explanation of why the official videos on YT don’t have those deep details is they were too compressed (and more blurred/smoothed with the new Official HD remaster) that hide those details. That’s why we may believe those upscales restore details that Directors would hide, in reality, it’s that I use (almost) uncompressed sources as ProRes Masters were all details are still there and not lost after many encodes and compressions. Now, most of her old music videos were shot on films which means that Britney’s videos can also be in HD or 4K natively, but the reason why they mastered her MVs in 480i/480p resolutions only isn’t because the technology weren’t too advanced for directors, it’s just that TVs could only display SD contents so they had to edit her videos in the SD resolution. Now if they want to release native HD/4K videos, they have to re-edit everything which is expensive, that’s why AI upscaling is here, at least for people who want to watch videos in better quality (even if we can’t reach the native resolution with upscales but it’s better than nothing). But I agree with you that we may lose that "experience" we have with old music videos after upscaling them.
  3. People (nowadays?) seem to find the (unfinished) music video "cringe", "uncomfortable" and "weird". Look at the comments, most people seem to agree with the same fact, it’s cringe and the video is making them uncomfortable: (It’s not to promote my video or anything, just check the comments to see what I’m talking about)
  4. Indeed, all of my edits are unblocked for all countries, everyone can watch Britney’s videos on my channel without countries restrictions. The only bad thing, is my edits aren’t the official videos. Which is so weird, is the fact that Britney’s videos are blocked on her official channel for no "obvious" reason, idk why my edits work but not official videos. As far as I know, my edit of Gimme More isn’t blocked in Canada. It’s almost like the official video, with just some additional scenes.
  5. The problem is that we aren’t even sure that first LQ video is official or not. Since there’s no logo of a TV channel, that means it was potentially ripped from an original source, but where? We still don’t know. Maybe from the CD single but there’s absolutely no rip of it on internet... I still don’t understand why the label didn’t officially released the video somewhere. I mean, probably not on her official channel but at least somewhere else like on Greatest Hits: My Prerogative DVD as a bonus video for example.
  6. Oh thank you so much for asking to @Roxxy, also thank you so much @Roxxy! Apparently it was also aired on MTV Philippines, so maybe it would be easier to find some accurate information?
  7. Yeah that LQ video of That’s Where You Take Me on YouTube looks legit, it have a few differences in the editing but there are no major changes. The other versions out there look more "finished" as there are additional scenes instead of black fading transitions where we can find on the first LQ video, maybe the new versions a sort of "Director’s Cut" or some people re-edited the video by using the making of DWADT and 2001 VMA, something like that.
  8. Yeah I just saw that before and thought that looked like an official single but wasn’t sure if it’s not fake. Lmao yeah at least we are (almost) sure that’s the official video but it’s kinda weird to release a Video Promo for a song that isn’t even a single. However, it was apparently very popular in Philippines so idk.
  9. Thanks for the research! I didn’t know that Bombastic Love was a single too! For That’s Where You Take Me, there’s this CD-rip under "Singles" folder of Britney Media, with the scans of the CD-cover of the single. So that’s maybe confirming that’s actually an official single? https://cloud.mail.ru/public/7mAu/FUZTZpCSe/Singles/2003 - That's Where You Take Me [Philippines Promo CD Single]/ But the music video is missing there.
  10. Oh, I found indeed many people on YT who confirmed that appeared on MYX TV, a popular music channel in early 2000s in Philippines. Just found this page, where it confirms that was released as single and also had a Promo Video as bonus on the Single CD. And that Promo Video is actually the music video which makes sense.
  11. Thank you for confirming! So it’s one of the rarest single of Britney
  12. Indeed, there’s no other sources of the original music video, not even a TV/VHS rip which is weird since we even got a TV rip of a channel airing the Original Music Video of Gimme More (2011 Leak, it’s not even an official video). I did a research on internet, and I never found the original video or a TV rip. But many people confirmed that was aired on Music TV channels of Philippines and also Brazil, idk if @PokemonSpears know anything about the music video being aired in Brazil. I’m not sure if it was really released as single, but it’s probably true as the audio of the music video is longer than the Album version. It has also ad libs on the beginning of the video. It sounds more like an official audio edit for the music video to me but idk.
  13. That must be indeed the major label (SME) which is the holder of copyrights and probably owns her videography (as SME, Sony Music Entertainment, owns JIVE and RCA). There are indeed many issues, especially on her official YT channel. The Overprotected Darkchild Remix video missing, wrong titles on some videos, the bad remasters from Sony which look, sometimes, worse than the original 480p... And actually, they didn’t uploaded Overprotected DC Remix on YouTube but added a vertical video of it on Spotify, on Overprotected (Album Version)... I-
  14. I know it’s been a long time lol but here you go (AI upscaled in 4K) I think it’s the best quality out there since there’s still no CD-rip from the Philippines’ single.
