If she wants to be taken seriously, she needs to do something interesting. I don’t feel like there’s anything distinctive about the music she puts out. Anyone could sing it and make it a hit. If she wants to make a real, lasting place for herself in music, she needs to figure out her identity.

I love that all these documentaries are coming out and bringing so much attention to all that she’s been through. I feel like this is the kind of attention Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland deserved but didn’t get until after they passed. I’m glad Britney gets to watch the public tide turn in her favor and that she’ll be able to receive all the love coming her way ❤️

There was an article out about her being really antsy during the filming of X Factor because she was off her ADHD meds, but that’s the most I’ve heard about it.

Oh I totally agree. No matter what happened, she deserves to be able to make her own decisions and run her own life. One of my big hopes is that she’s able to be an advocate one she’s free from the c-ship someday. ❤️

I’ve always thought this is probably one of the big reasons they were super secretive about her diagnosis.

So this is just the thought that kept popping into my head while reading his tweets and reading through this thread. It’s entirely possible that when he says the reason for the c-ship “isn’t flattering” for her, he may just be talking for a place of internalized stigma. He may just be talking about a suicide attempt, a stigmatized disorder, etc, he might not be referring to her doing any kind of awful thing. Even if she did do something bad, it doesn’t warrant a conservatorship for 12 years. Maybe her handlers led her to believe she did something horrible. In FTR she talks about how even when you’re in jail you know there’s a time when you’ll be free, maybe she feels like the c-ship is her endless jail sentence for whatever she did, even if all she did was have a breakdown. Sorry for how ramble-y this is, I hope it came across at least a little coherent lol.
