I had the great pleasure of speaking with rising singer Jean-Paul. BreatheHeavy often covers the pop superstars, but it's also important to shed a light on the independent artists.

Jean-Paul spent the last several years working on his debut album. Weeks before it was scheduled to drop, the world flipped upside down. What's it like for an indie artist like Jean-Paul to release music amidst the pandemic? Does he worry about the uphill battle of breaking through the noise? 

Jean-Paul dives into that, the ups and downs of releasing their self-funded work, how to believe in yourself when life backs you into a corner and more.

THANK YOU for recognizing this. I was going back and forth with someone on Instagram because they wrote 'who' and it annoyed me. It's hard and scary to put yourself out there like this.
