Britney has reportedly enlisted songwriter Diane Warren to pen her a new ballad. Warren wrote Britney's song "When Your Eyes Say It," as well as songs for Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Céline Dion, Cher, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and many more. An insider tells The Sun, “for Britney someone like Diane writing songs for the next stage of her career is amazing. They’ve worked together previously but during her pop era." They add: “Now it’s time for Britney to enter a new musical era. Diane loves Britney and they have been pictured together at events previously. Britney also saw that Diane has always been positive and supportive of her.” Earlier this year, The Sun claimed Charli XCX and Julia Michaels had been asked to write songs for Britney, a claim she adamantly denied: “Just so we’re clear most of the news is trash !!!” she posted on Instagram. “They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry !!!” The Sun have previously reported that she was working on new music which Britney then quickly debunked and said she would never return to the industry, so take this with a HUGE pinch of salt. Time has come for another Britney milestone. This time, it's Britney- the album. As it has been gaining around 250-300k streams per day, it's getting closer to 500 million streams on Spotify. This milestone will give Britney 7/9 albums with at least over 500 million streams (Britney Jean and Glory are the only albums excluded) I'm A Slave 4 U remains the most streamed track. As of April 2024, Overprotected (the album version) is yet to hit 100 million mark. The least streamed song is the bonus track- Before The Goodbye. A mini-milestone that should be accomplished this month will be Cinderella hitting 10 million streams. That milestone will give this album 7/15 songs over at least 10 million streams. So first we have Janet's 'Nasty' released in april, 15 in 1986 - so it's 38 years old TODAY - with her breathy vocals and snaky attitude. Her legacy has TOTALLY influenced Britney's music. This song heavily screams the get nasty vocals of Britney's 'Boys', for instance: When making her third self-titled album in 2001, Britney Spears recorded 'I'm a slave 4 u' that was written by The Neptunes for Janet Jackson but ended up being Britney's. The Janet attitude is still there along with Britney's signature vocals, though. Here we have another Janet-esque Britney's song, her GET NASTY: In 2016, Tinashe collaborated on a song with Britney. And recently she released her song also called 'Nasty' with chorus I've been a nasty, girl. NASTY! with a more modern/contemporary/trap sound to it. What do you think?

Does anyone else love this line in “Kiss You All Over”? I love the way she sings it, so **** and seductive. Anyone else a huge fan of this bop? So sad we never got an HQ version. This would have easily fit on “Blackout”. If there’s a rarities release, this needs to be on it.

Rumor has it that for the 2nd weekend of Coachella, Lana Del Rey will have Britney Spears come out as her surprise guest! They’ll sing Video Games and Everytime together! This will mark Britney’s first performance in over SIX years and as a free woman. Britney’s manager, Cade Hudson, heard Lana has always been a big Britney fan and Britney was down to collab. Cade’s hoping this will inspire the musician in Britney to come alive again and possibly put out new music and tour. Britney’s just having fun and loves supporting other women in the industry.
