Samantha Jade says Britney’s ‘Piece Of Me’ video treatment almost went to her

A car comes to pick me up, but just as I’m about to leave, we get another call: 'False alarm, don’t come.'

It ended up being the Piece of Me video. Britney was going through a lot at the time and wasn’t showing up to the set. Jive had everything—dancers, hair, make-up—but no Britney.

My song was coming out, and they wanted to put me in. That would’ve been my video. Isn’t that crazy?"

Idk who she is but I would have liked her showing up to make the video hers. The POM video sucks, so that happening would have hopefully forced a better video for POM

The crew and dancers would have worked for her to make her video, not POM.

It's like they were waiting around, so might as well make a video at least instead of paying people for nothing.

I can see that, imagine all the production crew waiting for her, they didn't want it to go to waste. So glad Britney made it in the end.

But it’s Britneys song and she wrote the entire video treatment for POM….so unless they were gonna put Britneys head on top of her body, I don’t see how any of this makes sense.

Because BRITNEY wouldn’t show up to work it’s starting to click the girl wouldn’t clock in so they had a bunch of people sitting around waiting thousands and thousands of dollars might as well use the set and dancers fr something positive and fruitful and not just have them sit around waiting for your highness to plop onto set

Songs were written for Britney and almost fully sung by other artists on Myha Jean and on Scream and piss with Britney not doing the singing.

Wouldn't be to hard to believe a video where someone else had to come in so the money isn't wasted.

they would've used the same backdrop, costumes/outfits, dancers, and locations, but shoot with HER song in mind, is not like the Piece Of Me set was Toxic, you can clearly use an appartement and a club to record any music video, and the label wasn't gonna just waste the money they spent on renting all those places and cameras and dancers

So this is her only song released in 2007, I guess this ended up being her music video instead of Piece of Me

also, according to wikipedia she was recording an album with Max Martin, Darkchild and Timbaland, but it got pushed back and never got released. the music industry is so harsh

They weren’t even background dancers they were models lol. Which now explains so much about why the video looked so cheap and why Britney had to teach the models how to dance! The video had no budget in general!!!
