Happy 2️⃣5️⃣th Anniversary to the Pokémon: The First Movie (soundtrack)!!! 🎉🎊

The soundtrack was released on November 9, 1999 and features the Britney classic, "Soda Pop." :lizzie_oops_dancing_red_maguire_hillary_duff:

I don't typically celebrate random soundtrack anniversaries, but Pokémon is just as iconic as Britney. :wink_britney_everytime_white: 

Plus I'm sure @PokemonSpears will appreciate this post. :clap_clapping_britney_xfactor_red_excited_yay_cheer:

It peaked at #8 on the Billboard 200. Technically, at the time Britney appeared on the chart with two different albums simultaneously

Pokemon - the first movie and the 3000 one is part of my childhood. I loved Mew. And I shared a birthday party at my school with my cousin lol. Back then I had no idea who Britney was.

I’m listening to the soundtrack right now on YouTube and it’s truly bringing me back to magical nostalgia. :awww_sarcastic_pout_britney_2006ney_idc_poor:
 

So many great songs from start to finish. I need to listen to this soundtrack more often.

Love Pokemon, love this soundtrack. Massive amounts of nostalgia for me. Still floored that this had an extended outro of Soda Pop that the album didn't have!

Okay so looks like you may have been right this whole time...

There is an extended version, but it was used on the Sabrina The Teenage Witch soundtrack (which came out in late 1998, so before the BOMT album did!)

I'm not sure why I thought the extended version was on the Pokemon soundtrack. I just listened to the one from the soundtrack and it has the same length as the album version.
