Does the Britney we’ve seen over the years still exist?

Is this charismatic, simple and funny girl still out there somewhere?

I don’t want to sound offensive, but we only see a vulgar Britney these days, like... C’mon girl, you’re more than that!

Remember the cute silly selfies she used to post?

Well, I miss that. Do you?

she had a tough life. her family has always been dysfunctional and abusive and that only got worse during the cship. I believe that girl’s still there deep inside, waiting to be healed. she needs to break the cycle, start over, move out of that house and get help. we don’t know every detail about her intimacy so I’m hopeful that she’s already doing any kind of therapy but ofc this takes years. we can only hope for the best🫶🏻

and yes I really miss her selfies too!

Honestly yes and no. It is like a painting that someone takes in their hands and crumples it all up and then straightens it back up. There is everything, but the consistency and construction is irreversibly damaged.

People age and when people age they also change. Throw in the trauma and abuse Britney has gone through, we can only wish for her to live authentically and safely. The dr**s forced upon her most likely changed her brain chemistry in a permanent manner.

Yes. We see glimpses of her just being her sweet self (at least I do), and what we see is less than a minute of her day. Nobody can say they 'know' her, not even me. And we should respect that and just let her be. Not demand her to show her every move or work. Just my opinion.

I think she’s there, but she’s still navigating her way out of the trauma that she went through. Some users on the forum give her flack every chance they get, & assume she’s “over” because she’s not acting like the Britney they want her to be, but she doesn’t owe anyone a thing. I believe she’ll come back when she’s ready though.

For now, I think she’s just enjoying doing nothing, & feeling weightless, even if that doesn’t make sense to us sometimes.

You can still recognize a lot of small things here and there that are still the same but just whatever made her britney, that britney spark is not there

with xtina you can tell that whatever made her xtina is still going on there, the same with paris

But she also acted perfect all the time in her prime so thats especially why the difference is there and also one of the reasons she broke down

and is it me or did she not feel like doing that pepsi commercial from 2004, she also started to break down around that time but most of the time she was outshining everyone with stage precense in that pepsi commercial she really was not feeling it like that and she could do better with the vocals still iconic but like when she performed with madonna and xtina she was outstanding but with beyonce and pink she did not even try to outshine them

And xtina and britney should have performed togheter one more time would be iconic imagine britney as special guest at the stripped tour

She's likely a very different person now because she's older. She's in her 40s. The Britney "we know" and love is a young woman in her early 20s trying to find herself. Most people in their early 20s are works in progress.

Edit to add this:

In a way, it's kind of odd that famous people will be forever perceived as being the age when they first get famous & experience the most success.

Like for example, Harrison Ford to most people is still the man from Indiana Jones & Star Wars in their minds... even though those films were so long ago and he is likely a very different person now thanks to aging.

It kind of sucks for Britney, because like I said, your 20s are basically an unpolished version of you trying to figure out adulting & life.

But for us, the idealized version of her that will exist in our minds forever will be that of her in her 20s.

I like to believe she still exists deep down somewhere but she is SEVERELY traumatized and well going through what she went through,

its no surprise that she's no longer the way she used to be.

That would change anyone.

Don’t bother looking for the girl you used to know, she’s gone.

97% of us would either be dead or hiding under a bed in her place, I’m just glad she’s still breathing tbh. :smokney2_smoke_britney_blackout_2007_sunglasses_red_cigarette_smoking:
