Britney was first released in Japan on October 31, being released in the United States on November 6, by Jive Records. An accompanying video album, titled Britney: The Videos, was released two weeks later.

When you listen to the deluxe plus the previously unreleased material -- "When I Say So," and "She'll Never Be Me" -- whew talk about a ride.  So good.

Such an incredible album and era. What a glorious time to be a Britney fan. I still remembering going to my local Circuit City store to buy the album since it came with a poster, which I still have on my wall.  
 

I love the artwork of the album with the rainbow and fairy aesthetic. So gorgeous 

I’ll be blasting the album all day in celebration!

This was my favorite album by Britney for a long time, and is arguably her most personal along with glory, blackout, itz

My first album. I remember being 11 years old, flipping through channels until I found MTV, and they were playing the video for I’m a Slave for You. It was love at first sight.

Now that I think about it, I’ve spent more than half my life being a fan of Britney, and I learned English because I wanted to know what Britney was saying in her songs, Iconic. I love her.

Great album. One of her best. 

To this day I can’t believe I Run Away was never a single. It’s her best ballad (or mid-tempo) ever. The lyrics, her voice, the music… damn. Easily her saddest song IMO.
