This. I dead*** saw someone on Twitter claim Britney’s career was over by 2009... why is everyone forgetting she was still fairly active for most of the 2010s?

it’s so weird to me when people act like her career was not successful after her peak. yes, she ruled the world in the early 2000s but circus and ff were HUGE eras as well. i understand that they’re not so loved by the fanbase bc of the cship but nonetheless they were successful. britney got 4 #1 hits after artistic peak. i wasn’t even born when britney debuted and i still grew up with her music. both circus and ff raised the older side of gen z. up until work b.itch everyone in my life that wasn’t a stan was keeping up with her. her impact cannot be measured tbh

People assume she’s “over,” because they’re ignorant to the fact that despite her lackluster moments during the cship, she’s was still very commercially successful. All I’m saying is, Britney’s magnetic. She has immense star power, & no one can take that away from her.

In fact, she’s so authentic, many in the industry still try to emulate her, but no one can hold a candle — & that’s the tea.

It’s funny how the con years lacked magic but still were a good competition to all the main pop girls.
but people can only compare Britney to Britney in her prime and somehow that means she lost it while still on the same level as other  pop women. She really set the bar high for herself
