I don’t dislike her and think she’s super talented but I don’t think she’s going to be as big as her team think she is.

I hope I’m wrong but I feel they are pushing her to be this global star that I don’t think she will be.

She’s had two official singles and one live performance of both.

Not sure what you mean by her being “pushed”.

She is super talented and will do as well as the globe wants her to do!

I don’t know too much about her history but I feel like it’s been kinda the opposite of her being ‘pushed’, in the sense that’s she’s been a surprise success and now she’s getting more industry support idk.

She’s definitely been a pleasant surprise for me!

For me, I first really noticed her in Sweet Melody as she opened the track/music video.

They’re all amazing, and all deserve their flowers, but Jade is less conventional than the others, I think.

It might be a love hate relationship because of that for some people, but I really like what she’s doing.

More so because she has her own style and isn’t riding on Britney’s coat tails.

I feel they thought AOMD would be a no 1 hit everywhere. It did ok (no 7 in UK) but I feel they expected it to do more. Jade herself said in an interview that she felt the song deserved an iconic debut performance and so was holding out for that. I think they hoped for a VMA or EMA slot and then settled with a Jools Holland appearance.

When I say pushed - I think she is being marketed in like Uber exclusive way and I think in reality they haven’t got the numbers they hoped. I think they really expected AOMD to blow up worldwide.

as you can tell from the amount of times I say ‘I think’ just my opinion but I wish her well, her voice is incredible and she certainly has an edge that the other girls haven’t had with their solo efforts.

I appreciate your explanation. Thank you. I see what you mean completely.

Even if the projected sales aren’t made, I hope Jade is sticking in people’s minds for not just sounding like everyone else.

There is room for everyone, of course.

Failing pop, I recon the Little Mix girls could end up on stage. They were clearly hoping to be individual artists when they auditioned for X Factor, and they all have a certain presence on their own.

I'm actually rooting for JADE and Leigh Anne. They have found a sound that they feel. I don't know if you'll understand me but their projects seems to be authentic plus they have the full package.

I'm kinda sad for Perrie. Seems like the label pushed her but it lacks something

I agree they all do have a presence and all of them can really sing like really really sing which is rare in a girl group.

Are you from the states? Are they well known over there?

I’m actually from the UK, so don’t know how well known any of them are over in the states.

I don’t think Little Mix really blew up over there. They’ve had two top ten billboard songs, but I’m not sure that really counts.

Any American people want to let us know what counts as a success since you’re so stingy with recognition for brilliant British artists.

I want her to succeed but I wish she fully leaned into the popstar fantasy and gave us choreo, outfits, drama. Right now she's serving too much up-and-coming-tiktoker-turned-artist for my liking.

That being said, both songs are an absolute slay.

Couldn't have said better than this. Artists should stop act like tiktokers just give us ART not stupid content

Most of the GP has never heard of Little Mix in the U.S.

I’m actually visiting London right now from the U.S. and was discussing this with a friend here.

Simon Cowell decided to focus Fifth Harmony in the US and Little Mix in Europe
