Why? Maybe someone should teach her to hold notes and not do so much shaking while singing. It's like she pays more attention to talking than singing.

It's called vibrato, and it's been a popular style of singing since the 16th century.

Countless singers use it, too.

I’ve actually been listening to her a lot recently.  I keep hoping she will come out with a punk rock-esque album sometime.  She doesn’t seem concerned about commercial performance, so why not experiment?

This cover is amazing… and you are 100% right you can see it in her performances when she feels the lyrics.
