Why do a lot of gay Britney fans like albums like Blackout/Glory whereas most of her straight fans prefer her earlier albums?

Probably because the Britney fanbase in the later years is mostly gay men, nothing wrong with that but Britney isn't reaching a wider audience.

When you look at the fanbase though when Britney did the first two albums, she had mostly female fans, male fans and fans from all walks of life.

As Britney entered into her 4th album sales plummeted compared to her previous efforts and a lot of female fans stopped supporting her.

Once she had her breakdown she lost more fans, heading into the Con albums the fanbase was mostly men.

As I've said before nothing wrong with that, but when you look at her later concert shows it's mostly men.

I'm straight (some find it hard to believe straight male fans exist on here and side note it's funny once I stated on here awhile back that I was straight d pic requests started to come in) and my favorite overall album is blackout, but my favorite songs of hers are her early years. I like a lot of her songs even though I don't identify with it being the songs are from a female's perspective, but I appreciate them in a way that I can relate to the idea behind the song can be universal.
