The Femme Fatale and Blackout eras are when she looked the least beautiful in her music videos.

For the Blackout era, it was quite unique because even though she had gained a lot of weight, her hair was a mess, and her appearance in the music videos was neglected, mostly due to a disastrous team or or even the complete absence of a team. Even with a look clearly below her standard, she was still beautiful, and a great team with an eye like Ellen Von Unwerth could have worked wonders. Actually, even in "Gimme More" in some moments, her face appears relaxed, sublime, and provocative, which is something I love. Looking back, we were fortunate to still have that almost wild vitality in her attitude, even if we didn’t necessarily get the aesthetic along with it. 

 

For Femme Fatale, it was also different. A lot of resources were put into the music videos, but Britney seemed disconnected, heavily medicated of course and it showed. Her face was puffy, her body appeared heavy, slow, and stiff, with obvious weight gain and a lack of lightness. I feel a lot of empathy when I watch the Femme Fatale music videos, considering the distress, the sadness she was in, the result was still quite impressive tho. 

 

She clearly didn't want to be there, even though it was hot.

2011 was just a really bad year for her. She didn’t look, act, or even talk like herself. I’m convinced it was around this time that she found out that the con would be permanent. She then spiraled, as anyone would given the circumstances. And that’s when I believe team con put her on very strong meds, to an extreme extent. This is just pure speculation, though. I really don’t know how she survived all of this.

That being said, she has NEVER gained a lot of weight and has never looked anything less than beautiful, even on her worst day.

Agreed. Incorrect and weird. Britney looked sublime even at her worst. And Femme Fatale was a POS era for her but she made it work, still.

You’re actually wrong. Yes criticism is warranted with anyone in stardom but your post just seemed hurtful. It’s the drag queen comparisons that irks me, actually. How can you love her and say such a thing???
