Is she worth getting into?

I can't keep up with all these new artists in Pop that are gaining traction. But I see her name pop up on social media and her face..... :pleaseshhh_miss_ny_new_york_tiffany_tell_talk_preach_pollard:

The question is, is she worth tuning into? If so, what songs/music videos should I, or anyone who might not know her music, check out? :nervousney_thinking_britney_looking_up_hands_face_clasp_ftr_for_the_record:

My local newspaper recently said she’s a 2nd tier, mediocre artist (they put Sabrina Carpenter in the same basket)

Personally, I’m not into her. I can recognize that she is talented with catchy songs, but I just don’t connect with her. Her voice is good. Also, I respect drag queens, but I don’t really like her make-up or style (she’s a woman who is also a drag queen).

I’m also not a fan of pop music in general, although I have exceptions - In the Zone by Britney (don’t come for me, I’ll always follow her as a person!), some Marina albums, Lana Del Rey (who is a blend of genres but still pop IMO), etc. So you may need to write me off.

I listened her album in full 3 times but without luck. I just don't connect with her songs at all.

I also watched some interviews with her and cannot connect with her as a person as well.

Also, I didn't know Chappel Roan was an openly Drag Queen Cis-woman gender artist. That's interesting and cool, and different, right? :idgi_dont_get_it_how_confused_what_hmm_umm_thinking:

Yes! If you like SSLP, MMLP, and TES, you must listen. But you have to listen to all the songs in order or else it won’t make sense. Hearing Slim Shady and Eminem duke it out is incredible. The rhymes are phenomenal.

Slim Shady is offensive on this record. But Em is killing him off and starting fresh.

The last song actually made me cry.
