Honest opinion on the latest comparison of Tate McRae to Britney Spears

And now that Britney has retired, there's truly nothing left for her except for newer artists trying to emulate her. It's a good thing. Nothing is ever truly ''original'', people can draw inspiration from others and somehow make it their own. Tate when it comes to Britney, isn't like Gaga, who tried to copy Madonna's entire career

Same thing happened with Britney or Lady Gaga being compared to Madonna in the beginning of their careers and there they are now, absolute icons. Just like Tate will be one day

People are comparing Tate to Britney bc she can truly DANCE!! She has energetic songs and pulls off hard-hitting choreography! She has a lighter nasally voice on her songs too.

OF COURSE there will only be one Britney, but Tate is an amazing rising star! Taylor Swift is cool (I guess) but she’s not known as a dancey, performance-based pop star. Same with Dua Lipa. They are both writers and producer types.

Tate & Britney can do choreography and they aren’t known for having strong singing voices doing ballads. Tate’s songs have way more of a sad girl undertone than Britney’s music though. That is a difference I’ve noticed. They both have a sporty onstage style too: when you’re dancing that much it makes sense.

Tate can dance, tbh she overdoes it… it doesn’t have the smoothness Britney had as well as Britney’s oozing charisma all throughout it.

Music wise… Tate’s giving nothing.

Edit: and the comparisons only show that ppl still remember Britney's legacy and are inspired by it, so seething about this makes no sense lmao
