So great to see Lindsay in such a good place. Freaky Friday is a legit classic, I'm sure they'd have a lot of fun together again doing a sequel!

I love Freaky Friday, heck I love all of her movies from back in the day!

I always thought she was the best teen actress of her generation.

 

However I am kinda hesitant on them making a sequel because most of the time when people make sequels,

they usually suck and are WORSE than the original.

For example: Coming 2 America, Grease 2 and Mean Girls 2 (which I know isn't really a sequel but u get what I mean)

 

I have a feeling the sequel is gonna be too woke or politically correct if they end up making it and it would not be the same as the original.

Its like she wants to be seen as a has been movie star from the 2000s instead of reviving her career with new movies.

Nothing wrong with nostalgia? especially when you have her resume + it reminds people of her talent. I'd rather see this stuff than pics of her mugshots or messy candids like those 00s accounts have posted about for years now. 

and besides everyone takes advantage of it, even Jennifer Lawrence is going around saying she'd love to reprise her role in the Hunger Games lol big actors go viral for reuniting with old costars all the time too? plus sequels/reboots/whatever are super hot in Hollywood.

but omg I'd actually love a reunion with Megan?! I need Megan to put on a black wig before taking a pic tho, that clown hairstyle she has atm is not it. they should do a shoot next year to celebrate the movie's 20th anniversary

Hilary literally tried it with the Lizzie revival for Disney+ a few years ago? There was a How I Met Your Father episode with a Lizzie callback too. She even did the With Love TikTok when that was kinda viral... but besides Lizzie what other classic projects is she supposed to get nostalgia from, reunite with her sister? 

 

also y'all act like it's easy to get new movie roles (and she did get a 3 Netflix movie deal as the lead and the Freaky Friday sequel might also happen fr which would be amazing for her to be back with Disney), especially when Lindsay's barely in the US anymore. I think her strategy is good, these Netflix movies might not be amazing but they're showing she's professional and still has good on screen presence, she'll get better opportunities eventually if she wants. unless y'all think she should be doing those low budget horror or action movies or whatever those washed up actors do..

Nothing wrong with nostalgia but it has become her thing. She acts like she is her 60s or something and looking back at all this great roles but it just become so tired, like how many times can she talk about or quote MG???

I love Mean Girls but has become so played out that is not fun anymore. And I know many feel the same way. And is not only Lindsay but the whole landscape of the industry and some of us are tired of reliving things of 20-30 years ago.

Im not hopeful with her Netflix movies. But at least it will give us something new and fresh.  I understand if she doesn't want to act right now because she just became a mom, but in the future it will be nice to see her try something new. She doesn't need to be the protagonists, a few short roles with great directors could be great. But probably she has other plans for her life.
