I feel like some of the stuff Britney posts she is posting with the intention of seeing the reaction because she finds it fascinating to see the double standards. Shakira does a performance with 2 knives and everyone applauds her.

Britney does it for fun in her living room and everyone attacks her saying she needs immediate help and intervention.

She is not after public approval so this isn’t gonna happen and the sooner you guys accept this, the sooner you can stop being pressed that she’s not meeting the expectations you’re imposing on her. She has nothing to prove to anyone and she’s not going to.

The thing is, she was getting the double standards ever since she hit the scene. Getting asked about her virginity and her ***** while Christina, Jessica, and Mandy weren’t getting that treatment. She even addressed the double standards in her interview with Diane Sawyer and she just didn’t understand why they were being applied to her. It’s like if she did something her contemporaries did that they would get praised for, she would get harshly and unjustifiably ridiculed for it. She’s never been able to catch a break.

It was gonna happen regardless. Idk if other countries are like that in their treatment of her, but the US has a love of just beating her down and idk why because she’s a sweet person and didn’t ask for this kind of treatment.

Double standards don’t really exist and even then, it’s usually male vs. female. The reason why Britney got asked about her virginity so much to begin with is because her team forced her to put that agenda out into the world and she was the biggest star out of all her contemporaries. Jessica also said she was a virgin and that she was going to wait until marriage but she was always regarded as a poor man’s Britney and therefore, not as many people cared. Ultimately, the bigger the star the bigger the target. Also, Britney shouldn’t have said anything about her virginity to begin with. And even if people were to ask, she should have hit them with the “it’s none of your business”.

Yes, because she was the bigger star/most famous and therefore a bigger target. Her limelight was more magnified than say someone like Mandy or Jessica. Critical thinking skills are important.

No other celebrity exposes themselves the way Britney does. The only one that comes close is Madonna, and she is also ridiculed. You guys need to stop victimizing Britney at any cost. Also why is Britney getting the blame for older men talking about her ***** or her virginity. She was just 17 years old, basically a minor. Her parents had mouths. They could’ve put statements out there to not talk about their minor child like that. Where were they? Oh wait….that’s right! They weren’t there! Surprise surprise….
