This NSync deep cut vaguely sounds like it samples Baby One More Time... Am I going insane?

Recommended Posts

I can hear the first 3 piano notes from Baby at 0:54 and also various parts throughout the instrumentals as the song progresses.. I know many will perhaps tell me that these 3 notes could be common but I thought it was a cute detail that reminds me a lot of Baby :)

I thought they were really cute together too until someone had to be selfish about the whole music business thing. I'm also surprised that she never collaborated with them on a track and that Backstreet was her first ever band collab.

With recent news of a new nsync recording in the works, I'm also curious about your thoughts. I've always thought Britney and their music + iconography helped define a very specific moment in popular culture, and this marks their first musical venture together like 2 decades after their split... maybe it's kind of a similar reason for us to stay optimistic and supportive of Britney during this period of much needed hiatus.

well mamas whats the verdict... & much love

Oh yeah I can totally hear it. :britlol_britney_surprised_wow_oh_shocked_choatic:

I think its just because they were both made by Max Martin.

Heck alot of NSYNC, BSB and Britney's work were produced by him.

According to online sources, that song was actually produced by RipRock n Alex!

Love that era. A musically superior one!

I’d also say the 2010s were great for music too.

True.

Yeah I do like the 2010s but for some reason I only like it up until 2016.

For some reason,

Mainstream music fell off the deep end.

But the 2020s has not been a great decade for music at least in my opinion.

There is very few modern music and singers I actually like nowadays.

2016-2019 were phenomenal years for hip-hop, rap, trap, urbano latin, indie and tropical house though!!! I’d even argue and say that 2019 was one of the best years of music in the 2010s. Music is always going to have ups and downs. You just have to find artists you vibe with. Right now, it’s all about latin, edm and afrobeats.

Yeah well I guess I’m mainly a pop girl so that makes sense why I didn’t like it as much.

I did like some other songs from those years in different genres.

The early to mid 2010s will always be nostalgic cause those were the times of my late teen years and early 20s.
